Not doing a Q+A this time because there's been nothing to post since the last one but can confirm we are working on Season 2, we've been doing table reads and already have a few recordings in!
I'm very excited to finally start sound designing and then to show it off! Sorry its been taking so long!
![[cant fit all this text so gonna have to put as much as I can sorry]
Voltairine: Regardless, we’re the ones who see it coming before any centre-system aristocrats do. We’re the ones who fought them first long before Nimonea ever caught a whiff.
Adam: You've fought them before?
Voltairine: once. I know Shadow has had the most run-ins directly but even those were all minor skirmishes. They’re strange, it feels… odd to be fighting humans from the solar system. Does that make them more human than me? They’ve felt Sols light on their skin, and woke up to a solar sunrise.
Adam: I’m sure they’d like to think that. But they’re still fascists Voltairine, they’re not fighting for parity or liberation, as much as they might postulate about doing so. They fight for superiority and domination.
Voltairine: You don’t need to worry about me, Adam. I’ve no desire for ‘superiority and domination’.
Adam: How widespread is that attitude?](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:scwjrmezw5vasnardizweagd/bafkreih65z32gosdgq34kwhlxgkl4tj7he4mnksogxhs5mdlgpkcuhzksm)
![[they come to a hatch]
Adam: here, help me with this
[they both strain and slowly turn the mechanism of the hatch, which creaks open, it is rusted and old, but eventually it gives and it opens]
Adam: you’re not claustrophobic are you?
Kitana: That would be a bad phobia to have in my profession.
[beat]
Kitana: are you?
Adam: [reluctantly] I’ve… been buried alive a few times. It’s not my favourite experience
[beat]
Kitana: Do you want me to go first?
Adam: no, no it’s fine… I’ll go
[adam steps through, and climbs down a short ladder, Kitana follows after]](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:scwjrmezw5vasnardizweagd/bafkreidm43te33riae66dp7vmpqfwapbibrywkisps3dg3w5jxrre5fry4)
![a screenshot of a season 2script, it wont fit the entire thing in the alt text sorry but this is as much as I can fit:
Dditengoso brushes his antenna, reaches up and puts a hand on Kaleiks shoulder, she jolts very slightly
Dditegoso: You’ve been awfully quiet old friend
Kaleik looks around and smiles apologetically, her face goes serious and she looks to me
Kaleik: I believe in your cause, Adam. I don’t think there is one here who does not empathise with you. And we are willing to fight if the situation requires it, we have all seen violence in some form or other, it comes with this life, it is unavoidable. But these Anthronesians, this sounds like a war. We are not soldiers, and I fear that this path will make us so.
Adam: I can only tell you what I have you already
Dditengoso looks directly at me now
Dditengoso: Do you ever stop missing people adam? Is there a limit to your grief?
Star: [audibly wincing] Holden's lights](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:scwjrmezw5vasnardizweagd/bafkreigcoauppeh3sjv42lzvrhglgtbdzddrtvlelagx7snrmhtoygcqzm)
