I spent last night and half the day fighting a cold, but I managed to get another character practice in thanks to @theposearchives.bsky.social . #art #oc #character #drawing #sketch #study

Ok, so I fell back into a bit of my old ways artwise 😄 Here is the Nemean Lion pelt for: monstermountaingame.com/codex #art #illustration #cardart #gameart #myth #mythology #lion #digitalart

Oh wow that's a pretty good price for 70 brushes. I will have to get that. Thank you!

I've been trying to tinker around with the same program and pad. May I ask what brushes you are using?

I haven’t painted without relying on line art in a long time. I am definitely out of my comfort zone right now. #art #digitalpainting #cardart #lion #nemeanlion #mythology #fantasyart

I feel that trying to rush and do more has hurt the quality of the comic and I am more of a quality over quantity kind of guy. Thank you for your patience while I am trying things out.

I have been trying some different things lately with both the comic and my art as a whole. For one I will probably put the HHTYH comic back to just Fridays and reveal secret panels Mondays starting next week. I also want to do a second more mature and serious comic that I will probably make monthly

And now that I think about it. We are inseparable from our art. We always put a bit of ourselves into it.

Chainbreaker Ink @chainbreakerink.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

I feel like it's because our own face is the face that we see the most. Our first reference as artists is our own face.

That is very true. I have had readers and players in TTRPG's that I ran figure out things and yes I kept it. I want them to feel that accomplishment for paying attention and reasoning things out. I just want to be careful not to become too predictable.

Chainbreaker Ink @chainbreakerink.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

A living project with an active audience is an interactive experience. It becomes a collective creation as creator and audience feed off one another.

000

Chainbreaker Ink @chainbreakerink.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Do I keep with my original plan? Do I alter it? Maybe I find something in between or entirely new. Some surprises please people while others upset them. Others enjoy the feeling that they were correct and could figure out the plot.

100

Chainbreaker Ink @chainbreakerink.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

I guess what I mean by 'reward' is that I generally have a basic storyline and plot planned out. The audience often tries to predict what comes next. Sometimes they are wrong. Sometimes they are right. Heck, sometimes they have a better idea than I did. I have a choice of what comes next.

000

Chainbreaker Ink @chainbreakerink.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

I think that it's a good thing to have a balance between having surprises and rewarding the audience for figuring out part of the story.

100

Chainbreaker Ink @chainbreakerink.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

It's more of a courtesy first look in exchange for their support. I don't generally go back and change already made panels, but I definitely try to stay in tune with the audience for future panels.

000

Chainbreaker Ink @chainbreakerink.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

That's a great question. I have been considering that. I think that at least a chunk of creators let their paid patrons enjoy it first then eventually reveal the panels.
