Can a player find your settings before the first cinematic and gameplay, understand what they do, and change them without losing progress? We've seen teams invest in genuinely useful features then hide them behind unclear categories, tiny text or an inaccessible set up flow. What games do it well?
Can players find your accessibility settings? A settings menu shows it open to accessibility with features like text sizing and subtitles

Been really enjoying playing Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. An accessibility thought I had while playing - I can't name another AAA budget kids / family game that supports audio described cutscenes and high contrast mode. Some indie examples for sure, but very little in AAA.

I celebrated World Sight Day by reminding myself that I am indeed blind. Was walking through my house when I accidentally ran face first into the sharp corner of a wall and busted open my left eyebrow for what is now the 3rd time. I’m starting to think I have some kind of wall magnet in my face.

It's World Sight Day today, what better day to call attention to the readability of text in games — one of the most mentioned accessibility barriers for gaming on any screen size. Text is more accessible with large default sizes, clear sans-serif fonts, and colors that contrast with the background.

TOEM 2 a very accessible experience for most players thanks to its monochrome contrasting visuals and cozy gameplay without time limits or fail states. A lack of remapping is its biggest accessibility sin, and some text could benefit from more contrast. caniplaythat.com/2026/10/07/i...
