Putin would never agree to that unless a ' rUSsia never allows weapons to be given/ sold to Ukraine' clause was included.

Thank you. This is an issue that has me seriously considering my membership. I'll wait to see how the vote goes. If entryist radicals hijack the Green Party it will leave me politically homeless, so I'm hopeful, but pissed off as well that I need to be worried at all.

I've been feeling ill and decided to cheer myself up by posting a picture of a pair of wild grain Zebrano candle holders I turned for my daughter's 40th birthday

I read that they can't be polled, but that 60%+ veterans vote republican, so is that really likely? They're also constantly being tested to see how many illegal orders they'll obey, aren't you worried that those will extend to US soil once an 'emergency situation' is declared if he loses?

I’d love to, but If I had one it would have to be pretty awesome to get across the Atlantic, but more power to your elbow, we’re rooting for you (albeit somewhat sarcastically sometimes) if we had a vote we’d be right behind you, he has more than 90% disapproval here

This is how a justice system works. We don't tolerate militia gunning people down, concentration camps or politicians running roughshod over the law & human rights... yet, even tho' America is paying for & encouraging extremists to take us over. This is not just Trump, America is now a rogue nation

I trust Mahmood about as willingly as I would a scorpion hitching a lift across a river. She really has no place in an even moderately liberal govt. Funded by Labour together, Israeli interests, Saudi Arabian shell companies and private healthcare. She will sabotage this govt & split Labour.

I don’t think he could really, the response could be ‘ok, we’ll let your guys handle it in the future, since you’re closely monitoring everything happening in this country’

Until they stop subsidising profiteers by making low paid workers claim Universal Credit rather than forcing employers to pay them a decent wage, reforms are likely to only impact disabled & ill people, risking throwing the baby out with the bathwater whilst feeding caviar to the rich.

Are these NK soldiers the same as the ones who uphold the NK regime by murdering & terrorising other NK people's families in order to support that regime, particularly any that might want to overthrow it? I don't see much difference between what they do and what is being done to them

If you're an American, you don't get to say that. That's a comment the rest of the world can make. You just have to put your head down, get stuck in, and prove the rest of us wrong.

You have the four horsemen trampling over every part of the world... except for the US, where the horses were born and raised. Perhaps concentrate a little harder.

I don’t think any soldier ever made money from a war, so don’t take it personally unless you own a munitions factory. You is the plural of you, but in this case specifically means America. Once upon a time you even taxed those war profiteers, so a little bit did trickle down. Shame you don’t now

Pete Hardy @ch405ity.bsky.social · 08/09/2026
No, you just figured out how to make more money out of opposing it & pushing everyone into debt so you can fund your excesses

Of course it is. Attacking Iran has hit our economy to the point that the govt can’t afford to act on issues that spur on racism & nationalism, & musk etc fund the protests. I’m now full on disgusted at the Americans, including the whiny do-nothings that moan on here but do fuck-all about it

In the US… if it’s schoolchildren… they just shoot them in the face. No such thing as ‘far left’ in America, just slightly less libertarian right.

Pete Hardy @ch405ity.bsky.social · 06/09/2026
Peace deal is the last thing Americans want. All it takes is for Russia to stop attacking our invading other countries. US won’t say that because someone might show them a mirror. Once they have the oil & minerals, & all the brown people are dead they will just smile smugly & walk away

The Americunts & the orcs trying to carve up the world between them. Every other country needs to beware, they have no allies among these Nazi-scumlands

Pete Hardy @ch405ity.bsky.social · 04/09/2026
The whole world watches trump tick off his list unopposed while even intelligent Americans act surprised every time. US democracy has shot itself in the foot & the rest of the world needs to stick a salted finger in the wound until they’re uncomfortable enough to get serious about stopping him
010
Pete Hardy @ch405ity.bsky.social · 03/09/2026
Hate to break it to you, but you don't actually need healthcare after you're dead
000
Pete Hardy @ch405ity.bsky.social · 03/09/2026
It always just comes back to gas prices though doesn't it? There could be other things Americans would give a shit about, but nope.
010
Pete Hardy @ch405ity.bsky.social · 02/09/2026
How much Russian oil and gas does America buy? If the answer is little or none, that’s not the issue. If it is enough to cause significant US shortages, then the problem is more about being honest which side they are supporting.
000
Pete Hardy @ch405ity.bsky.social · 01/09/2026
Well, fascists stick together. ‘Defence spending’ means chucking money at US arms makers. Maybe if we spent a bit more of our budget on domestic/ non-US systems they wouldn’t care so much. We can hope he chokes on cheap Argentinian beef in the meantime.

40% of universal credit is paid to low paid workers. If you want to cut the benefits bill, make employers pay them properly rather than pocket obscene profits

When he realises that technically everybody dies from heart failure, disease, crime and natural disasters will all have been wiped out by the best President in history, and there’s actually no need for healthcare at all. And a significant number of Americans will believe him. Until their dying day

Pete Hardy @ch405ity.bsky.social · 28/08/2026
No, completely agree. Anyone saying vapes smell have obviously never been near a smoker, or until quite recently a pub. My only real criticism is disposables that mean you throw away lithium batteries

There’s no chance a cargo plane that big just carried 1 man to a meeting when the average American will happily fly a private jet to the local supermarket. I wonder what trump has sent Putin’s way. As he said he would ignore article 5, Europe needs to watch out, & replace the US altogether
100
Pete Hardy @ch405ity.bsky.social · 28/08/2026
Even this definitely not state run platform doesn’t mention them. There’s got to be a good reason for that- a once every 3 months dial in on a Saturday that causes no disruption just makes you look complacent.

Pete Hardy @ch405ity.bsky.social · 28/08/2026
Simply Google non violent direct action, civil disobedience, legal protest. Form a plan, act on it. It’s about comfort levels. Any excuse as long as you get to fill up your tank & watch the football. True apathy
000
Pete Hardy @ch405ity.bsky.social · 27/08/2026
Americans don’t seem to ever remember what trump has said, yet he has done everything he said he would. & they always act surprised. Europeans remember him saying he wouldn’t respond to article 5, so I call bullshit.

Pete Hardy @ch405ity.bsky.social · 26/08/2026
Well I guess they might agree to help if they’re given Greenland in exchange

Pete Hardy @ch405ity.bsky.social · 26/08/2026
He went in a huge cargo plane, hardly likely to be only delivering a message. I honestly don’t think the US govt give a flying fuck If Russia attacked Europe, they wouldn’t honour article 5, & it just saves them making the threats themselves

US hedge funds have killed anything they touch, to extort profit. Change the rules if you need to, as long as they don't hurt undeserved people by accident. Deny the Americans access to any legal mechanisms to fuck with us- you know how Americans would treat us if the situation were reversed.

There is for definite a global consensus on what to call the country that the inhabitants call the USA, although some nations put more expletives at the beginning than others

The deliberate use of 'the jewish state' is a pure invitation to conflate antisemitism with disgust at Israel. If people can't see through this as deliberate attempt to ramp up anti-jewish feeling as to slate Linneker, they haven't been paying attention. Of course decent people abhor atrocities

Pete Hardy @ch405ity.bsky.social · 24/08/2026
I typed "manual for civil disobedience, effective protest and non-violent direct action" into a search, & even AI came up with a strategy.

Pete Hardy @ch405ity.bsky.social · 24/08/2026
Strike, picket, civil disobedience, crash the system being used against you. Stay in solid groups supporting each other & share plans. Act locally, replicate nationally. Voting is a part, sure, but occasional Saturday protests & letters is why they're laughing at & running rings round you.

Pete Hardy @ch405ity.bsky.social · 24/08/2026
The whole world has known it for more than a decade. When Trump said nobody would stop him, he knew his country. The only hope the rest of the world has is to disentangle itself from America & get on with it. Until they are uncomfortable enough to take direct action, Americans won't get out of bed.

How many of those 89 million that didn't turn out have you banked in your favour? Support hasn't changed much since 2024. The economist puts it at 36%, Reuters/ Ipsos at 33, Newsweek puts under 18's support at 40%. But keep telling yourself that everything will be fine, and sitting on your hands.
