i didn't know about this a couple hours ago but it looked like a good excuse to draw something i can actually finish #makeaterriblecomicday #makeaterriblecomicday2025

a comic.
panel 1: Scratch laying in a field of dry grass
panel 2: a shadow passes over. "huh?"
panel 3: it's a cloud, and there's a tag from a tumblr post on it. "#make a terrible comic day"
panel 4: "that's a thing? ok sure". Scratch gets up, presumably to make this comic

a photo of a slug starting to turn away from the camera as i was there bothering it for like 10 minutes

simple drawing of the slug with an arrow pointing to a rabbit in a similar pose

doing that because lotad has been rotating in my mind like it's in a microwave for months btw

chu @ch-u.bsky.social · 19/03/2025

ah fuck i forgot i had to do the animation part too something i might do instead because i still don't want to miss a month is something more useful to me than any normal person who doesn't think "i wonder how many pokemon names follow this specific pattern" multiple times a month

i love doing a combination of things i feel like no one has tried together before rn trying to make an animation where the important parts are what i'm using to make it and whether or not i can have it on neocities in that format (whole post too long, don't wanna split it. critter.cafe/@chu)

i should make a bug version of my fursona (or just an original one, haven't decided) but what bug....

i like that the pokemon fandom is so big you can get so incredibly specific with the subcategories i've always been fascinated with the mew oc people

chu @ch-u.bsky.social · 24/02/2025

hey did you know that the pokeride saddle for mudsdale (bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pok%C3%...) fits pretty much perfectly on a scolipede? (i looked at their 3d models) that and the general idea of scolipede as a bug-horse made this possible. you don’t get more context

031

chu @ch-u.bsky.social · 11/02/2025

now the question is can i finish this in a few days and show it to the person whose oc it includes on time for relevant rp interactions or will february keep being the worst month of the year with 0 good things happening ever

000

chu @ch-u.bsky.social · 11/02/2025

worked on this a bit more and i'm so lucky a certain art youtuber whose style i love uploaded exactly when they did because i had kinda forgotten that shading/rendering things inspired by how they do it is so fun and looks so good at the same time (and works perfectly for this)

you know what sucks? when i really want to do something but i also want to talk about it but if i do then i almost won't want to do the thing anymore because my brain decides that's close enough. the curse of going too far in the opposite direction of perfectionism

why am i cursed to see everyone who has been a twitter user at any point in the past 5 years say the exact same thing literally everywhere 24/7

010

chu @ch-u.bsky.social · 08/01/2025

like this thing i drew last year but never posted anywhere of a few characters i've used specifically in minecraft rp (tbf the top right one is a ghost which might have reasons to be drawn differently and do the other ones even count as different styles? weirdly consistent for something i've done)

011

chu @ch-u.bsky.social · 08/01/2025

the fact that each character i spend enough time thinking about gets their own art style might be a big part of why i (usually) can't draw humans consistently

while i was thinking about this, it didn't become any more likely to happen, but it *did* branch off into many more ideas that are even less likely to happen and seemingly only exist to torture me until i forget about them or manage to do something with them

chu @ch-u.bsky.social · 12/12/2024

if i hypothetically wanted to make a short comic explaining the lore behind my fursona's halloween designs and sharp teeth, what should it look like.... some possible format options include - classic comic - almost homestuck - anything other than "mobile-focused webcomic"
