Since it's cybersecurity awareness month, we're required to do our annual cybersecurity training again. This module and quiz question is particularly ironic to encounter this week. arstechnica.com/security/2026/10/th…
A quiz question from a SANS training module where the question is "What does HTTPS mean?" and the available answers are:
"The website cannot be infected by a third-party attacker's code."
"Data transmitted between the browser and web server is encrypted."
"The customer has been authorized to access sensitive data on the website."

There is then a button that says "Submit Answer" and another button that says "Finish Quiz"

There's a DeLorean parked right in front of our local Starbucks this morning. We don't see too many of them, that's for sure. It definitely looks like it is a real DeLorean, and not a kit car built on top of something else. If it is a kit car, it's a really, really good job of it.

So far, this has been about the most evenly matched game I've seen in a very long time, and it's not just the appearance of matching up on the pitch, the stats bear it out.

We finally have our first billing cycle where we generated more power from #solar than we consumed from the grid. Our electric bill this month is $6. I could get used to this.

Not a terrible billing cycle for our electricity this time. It can and will get better as the days get longer and sunnier, but this isn't too shabby for January/February. Our power bill for this period ended up being $102.19

This has been, so far, our best week with solar. I know it will get a whole lot better when summer comes, but, considering it's still winter, I'm not mad about this. We generated about half this week what we generated through the whole month of December.
