It was actually an intentional move by the Dem party. She decided she didn't wan to run after all prior to the primary but stayed in because her only Dem opponent was a Trump plant. After she won, she announced she was out and backed the independent. Now just wants her name taken off the ballot

The only thing I can come up with is that this is an attempt to reduce voters. We have to present drivers license down here to prove identity when voting. But why deliberately do more to piss off hispanic voters down here, who lean heavily republican but many of whom are already upset over ICE?

As a Florida driver this makes no sense to me. Even if I was a racist, I still wouldn’t understand it. At least licensed drivers have to demonstrate a clear understanding of the traffic signs and the rules of the road. Does Dicksantis really believe people will just not drive unlicensed?

I’m not so sure. As the parent of two 18 year old seniors, I can tell you this generation has been brought up with Trumpism and MAGA and see it as perfectly normal because it’s all they know. It’s quite depressing to see what some of these kids proudly post on Instagram, males and females alike.

There’s no room for moderates anywhere and it’s so sad. It used to be that one could be both very socially liberal, believing in equality for all and bodily autonomy and compassion for the less fortunate, and still believe in responsible capitalism and fiscal conservatism with the national debt.
