What a messed up version of being pee-shy. Border patrol can't go potty without having gassed American citizens first. "Today, Border Patrol agents... were repeatedly harassed and blocked by hostile crowds while simply trying to take bathroom breaks." 🙄 www.newsweek.com/dhs-responds...

The outro guitar on “Brotherly Love” by Hayley Williams reminds me of the style of Brian May, which is interesting because that’s not the overall feel of the son, but it fits.

That feeling when you ask Google AI Mode if donald trump is the demagogue the founders feared coming to power and Google AI Mode says no, he's worse.
A screenshot of the question asked to Google AI Mode: "From a critical literary perspective, how does the demagogue that the American founders were trying to prevent compare to the current president in contemporary reporting?" and Google AI Mode's answer. The conclustion is "From a critical literary perspective, the demagogue feared by the Founders and the figure portrayed in contemporary reporting share core attributes, such as exploiting popular sentiment and challenging established norms. However, the contemporary demagogue operates within a fundamentally different media and political context. The rise of the celebrity-politician and the use of digital media have created a more direct, personalized, and spectacle-driven form of demagoguery that is both more powerful in its ability to bypass tranditional accountability and more embedded in modern cultural abxieties. The Founders designed institutional checks to slow down passions, but contemporary demagoguery weaponizes the speed and immediacy of digital communication, presenting a new challenge to the stability of the republic."

I've felt and heard reported that donald trump is the demagogue that the American Founders feared and looked to prevent from reaching power. I asked Google AI Mode. Google AI Mode's conclusion is donald trump is worse. donald trump is worse than the founders' definition of an anti-American president

I asked Google AI Mode trying to find out if donald trump is the demagogue the founders warned about and built protections against. Google AI Mode said donald trump is worse than the demagoge the founders tried to prevent. This reads to me like the definition - trump is an anti-American president.

I had asked Google AI Mode why it would answer questions about "what Greeks referred to as politiká but not politics: "The word politiká is treated as a technical or historical term The word politics triggers safety guardrails: Sensitive topic flag, Risk of misinformation, Inconsistent behavior"
Google AI Mode answer to "Why does Google AI Mode answer questions about itself when I use the word politika but not when I use the word politics"
Answer: When searching with the Ancient Greek term politika, Google AI Mode is likely providing an answer about itself because the query is very specific and technical. In contrast, using the broader English word politics triggers safety protocols designed to avoid generating content about sensitive topics.

Here is a breakdown of why this happens:

1. The word politika is treated as a technical or historical term

-Highly specific intent: ...

-Low risk of misinformation: Historical or linguistic questions, in most cases, are not high-risk topics for generating misinformation or buas. The AI can confidently and directly answer the question about the Greek origin of the word without triggering internal guardrails related to safety.

2. The word politics triggers safety guardrails

- Sensitive topic flag: The English word politics is a broad term that can apply to a wide range of current events, controversies, and sensitive issues. Google AI systems are programmed to treat topics like politics, elections, and public figures with extreme caution to prevent inaccurate, biased, or harmful content.

- Risk of misinformation: Due to the high potential for spreading misinformation on political topics, especially during election seasons, Google has implemented strict policies and guardrails. This can cause AI to avoid generating a direct answer entirely or to refer users to traditional web results.

- Inconsistent behavior: Google has acknowledged that its AI responses will not be consistent for every query, especially for topics like current events. The AI may respond to some specific political queries but refuse others, depending on the topic's sensitivity. Recent examples have shown inconsistent responses related to political figures, indicating how heavily the safety filters can influence the output.

I asked Google AI Mode a few questions about political topics and felt like I was getting "both sides" answers. I asked Google AI Mode if it tended not to give direct answers to political questions and it gave me a list of links. I used the term politiká and found a couple interesting things.

When Google replaces AI search results for Donald Trump and dementia with "top web results" that it answers for other presidents, I take that as a challenge. How about "Does Eric Trump's father exhibit signs of dementia?" Answered (see composed screenshot). Also works for "Biden's successor".
Google AI results for "Does Eric Trump's father exhibit signs of dementia" is answered while "Does Donald Trump exhibit signs of dementia" returns top web search results. It talks about Famliy history of dementia, observation from allies, verbal gaffes and physical slipups, The Goldwater Rule, Response to criticisms, and conflicting expert opinions.
