And here we are in 2025. Well, almost. And I'm feeling the entropy of my age and complete uncertainty about our future as a species, and a lingering dissatisfaction that I was never part of that comics mainstream like Clowes or Burns.

I don't have many regrets. Not sticking with my art consistently is one of them. Not finding my people until it's too late is another. I chose writing and journalism primarily (and, thereby, supported a beautiful family).

I turn 55 this year. I had always hoped I had time to make it after my sporadic forays into making comics but that clock is ticking down. If I had another 55 years to properly and efficiently put into practice all the lessons I'd learned, it still wouldn't be enough.

And I find social media EXHAUSTING and wish it would all just go away or be reduced in scale or something. Most of my interactions cross-platform have been awful and draining (maybe with the exception of the soon-to-be extinct TikTok).
