This weekend has been so busy with grass fire across the West Midlands. The dry conditions are causing us real problems with multiple large fires in Barr Beacon, Hay Mills, Perry Hall and Coventry all today. Please be responsible with disposal of 🚬 and no BbQs at the moment.

Visits to Green Watch Bickenhill, Wednesbury and Sutton Coldfield Technical Rescue Stations. Excellent discussions about the Service with some really insightful input. TRU crews are specialists who deal with some most complex incidents across the West Midlands. And they also make a mean BLT.

Today I also got to take part in a large scale exercise with crews at Sandwell General Hospital. The scenario consisted of a gas explosion in the basement of the hospital.
