Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 25/05/2026Yeah fair... I'm in PA, which is pretty normal unless you're in the super rural areas with the Amish or the hicks 010
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 24/05/2026England is actually quite similar to US in this sense. People hate splitting bills or seeing anyone else benefit from anything. Where are you based now if you don't mind me asking? There's definitely nuances across the country (South/north, coastal v central etc) 100
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 11/05/20261-1 but feels too late. Think spurs will survive by virtue of hammers being crap anyway 000
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 07/05/2026Think there will be a lot of movement. Bright + Reiten gone but depth already there. Shaw maybe in means Kerr out, ABJ pity mins, + Ramirez? Kaptein + Hamano feel 50/50. Walsh has been shite. Midfield overhaul? Bronze is 34... 000
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 27/04/2026This is such a non-issue. Doesn't happen as much as the article and reaction make it seem. Just add time to the end of the half. 000
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 25/04/2026Watching spurs and De Zerbi get reheated would be the best double whammy 000
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 20/04/2026Seem to remember everyone saying Cherki wouldn't be a good signing for Chelsea cos he's too slow and doesn't defend. Ok then.... 010
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 05/04/2026Feel like there are so many goals outside the box in MLS. Are keepers crap? Do defenders give too much space around the 18? Are they mainly scored by "retirees" and players from outside the US? 🤔 100

Reposted by Chris RileyAaron West @oeste.bsky.social · 10/08/2025VAR needs a shot clock. 2 minutes max to review a play & if there’s nothing definitive to overturn we move forward. i’ve seen some EGREGIOUSLY long times recently, it has to change. 7918
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 26/04/2025It's fine but I don't really like Cucurella underlapping him, feels like he's going to hit him with a cross 100
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 25/04/2025Like her more further forward. Would be a good partnership in front of Charles when Reiten goes 000
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 25/04/2025Shit gets real pretty quick over in the other place, doesn't it? One semi-bad take and you're toast 😅 Might post over here a bit more instead 000
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 04/04/2025116 if you include the first half! Big win and hope we can carry momentum into Legia, Brentford and Ipswich 000
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 02/04/2025Everyone but Sarr with a goal involvement. Not bad 😎 000
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 26/03/2025Really like what Sunderland are doing ATM, such an interesting, young squad. Patterson Bellingham Rigg Mundle Isidor Le Fee (in on loan) Danns (in on loan) Ba (out on loan) Ekwah (out on loan) 000
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 22/02/2025Chelsea U18: Not only is the pass from Walsh really nice but look at the movement from Chizzy. Steps towards the space he wants, backs away to create separation and does a "hook" run. This is classy. That's how you create space when there isn't much in behind. Lovely stuff 000
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 21/02/2025Ryan Kavuma-McQueen has been in excellent form for Chelsea U18 and now U21. 7G + 3A in his last 12. ✅Villa U18 ⚽️⚽️ ✅Reading U18 ⚽️ ❌Southampton U18 ❌Fulham U18 ✅WBA U18 🅰️ ✅Merstham U18 ⚽️ ✅Brighton U18 ⚽️🅰️ ✅Liverpool U18 ⚽️ ❌Leeds U21 ✅Manchester United U21 ⚽️🅰️ 000
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 05/02/2025That's fair enough. Both Enzo and Lavia have their merits, but I see better physical and goalscoring potential in the other 3. Would miss Enzo's progressive passing and Lavia's press resistance but not sure much else. Might still lack a screening 6 though. 021
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 05/02/2025I'd gladly sell both and keep Santos, Ugochukwu and Chukwuemeka. 321
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 29/01/2025Now imagine the quality difference if it were Chelsea. Shame our higher-ups only see $$$ and not their true value. 010
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 19/01/2025Wrote about Chelsea's U21 forward Donnell McNeilly for the Chelsea spot. He's tearing it up in Cobham this year and scored 2 against Nottingham Forest to secure a 4-2 comeback win. thechelseaspot.com/2025/01/18/d...thechelseaspot.comDonnell McNeilly Analysis vs Nottingham ForestChelsea’s senior and youth teams are full of attacking talent, but there’s one in particular catching the eye right now. Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 15/01/2025I wrote about Tyrique George for TheChelseaSpot after his performance against Morecambe. Lots more to come (maybe after a loan). thechelseaspot.com/2025/01/14/t...thechelseaspot.comTyrique George Player Analysis vs MorecambeWhile Chelsea are rumoured to replace potentially doping-banned Mudryk with Kvaratskhelia or Tel, one academy graduate is starting to make their mark on the first team – Tyrique George. Start… 020
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 15/01/2025Pushed him outside. Didn't have time for one more step and block with the right foot really. It's top bins. Not sure Sanchez could have done much more either tbh. Sometimes ball goes in... 🤷♂️ Probably more worthwhile analyzing what happens before his involvement 020
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 08/01/2025Top 5 modern (prem era) player Chelsea have produced so far imo. Terry, James, Musiala, CHO. Colwill may well come close. Hall may be a longer term shout. RLC was unbelievable at academy level and the one who started my interest in the youth teams 010
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 20/12/2024Chilwell with injuries, form and wages? Fine, I guess. I really don't get the Carney treatment though. He's a genuinely good player, still young, and fits the wage structure (about 100k?). Should be ahead of KDH + Felix at the very least (should never have been bought tbf) 060
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 19/12/2024Good! Don't remember how it works. Can we draw city (same country) or Madrid (same group)? Guessing it's different to mens cos of less teams 100
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 18/12/2024This is a huge relief and I only hope that we can agree these things in future without freezing players out and creating media/fan frenzies 110
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 16/12/2024Who should be the next academy prospect to get a debut (whether start or sub)? I'm surprised Samuels-Smith hasn't been involved yet. Maybe also McNeilly 010
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 10/12/2024What's his book value? About 50m? And we've spent roughly 10m in wages assuming 100k ish. It's still pretty unlikely. Maybe a good loan (Bundesliga 😅) and sell in summer 2026 with significant add ons? 100
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 09/12/2024Sancho + Neto hold the ball so much better than Mudryk Neto also works his socks off. Sancho doesn't really have the same defensive capacity. Both good options to have albeit nothing game breaking. Mudryk is surely gone in the summer? 110
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 09/12/2024One of the biggest changes this season is retention in the final third. Mudryk, Palmer, Madueke couldn't make it stick before and it continuously resulted in being countered (+conceding goals). Progression in retention and defensive workrate in the latter 2 + Sancho/Neto has been transformative. 110
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 08/12/2024Funny thing is people will say "it'll translate well with better players" and he'll get a bigger job - it's ridiculous 100
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 28/11/2024Same here. Missing the game traveling for thanksgiving 😞 010
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 27/11/2024Just found out my wife shares a birthday with Emile Heskey and Jamie Vardy - day made 😂 010
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 27/11/2024Surprised ISS hasn't been involved at all this season as he would be a good fit on the left too. Maybe it has to do with Cucurella and Veiga both being fit and his standing in the U21 team? And Sturge being called up to train is odd given his contract 220
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 26/11/2024Outside of the prem (where he's played poverty minutes), he's got 10 goal involvements in 7 games - or 534 mins. G/A every 53 mins. Scored in all 3 ECL group games. He's been showing up 😅 people just don't like his workrate. 100
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 24/11/2024Moyes would do well anywhere given those things - plus a license to play "effective" football. I'd love to see him get another shot at a big club but it'll never happen 010
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 24/11/2024Any thoughts on possibility of future rebranding? Already seeing lots of LDN on merchandise and socials. Does that eventually go as far as a badge change like Spurs or Juventus? Maybe just a lion. Think it's limited in the buyout contract but longer term... 000
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 23/11/2024Right there with you. 1 in 2 premier league striker (goals per min, not appearances) with 8 assists. In 47 games...at 23. Yeah I'm here for the long haul on this one. 010
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 23/11/2024CM depth kinda sucks. Barkley + Tielemans is average and lacks mobility. Huge step down from Onana + Kamara. 010
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 23/11/2024Nico Jackson now has 21 premier league goals. He overtakes Torres, Crespo + Pulisic (20), moving level with Vialli, Abraham, Oscar, Jorginho, Stein. 🔹47 appearances 🔹3774 mins 🔹1 every 180 mins 1 in 2 is a classic "good striker" metric. ZERO are penalties. 030
Chris Riley @cfcriley2.bsky.social · 23/11/2024I do like his "goldfish" trait. Allows him to go again and again. Yup! Hoping we can get top 4 and then cement ourselves there with just 2-3 signings. 010
