Iowa @ Michigan: Can’t wait to watch this one juxtaposed against the game in Gainesville. It’ll be close, but I just don’t see any way Iowa does anything at all against the Michigan defense. Wolverines pull it out with one big offensive play.

TCU @ UCF: Can’t decide if this game gives us any bit more clarity in an extremely muddy Big 12. I’ll take the Frogs here to force UCF to throw and stifle the Knights that way

Texas @ Tennessee: Trump’s attendance makes this one of the orangest events in recorded human history. As for the game itself…I’ll reluctantly go with the Horns as I don’t know that I like this to be the game where Brandon first wets his feet in SEC play. Horns very close.

Colorado St. @ UTSA: Rams look to be pretty solid so far this season and I think this line is a little bit dismissive of them, but I still can’t pick against UTSA at home

SMU @ Louisville: Cards. I think physicality + the revenge factor is the difference in what should be a thriller. They need to clean up the penalties, though

North Carolina @ Clemson: I know things are dire, but I’m going with the Tigers. Pride play here. This game will be ugly, but I think the Heels have some key absences too that will hinder them. Would feel better about this pick if it weren’t a noon game.

Houston @ Texas Tech: I’ve had a GREAT start to the season and I sort of have a feeling that I fall back to earth this week. What better way to start that than picking Houston?! Nervous about this especially on the road, but I think the Cougar run defense is the difference

Ohio State @ Texas: Hoping this one lives up to the hype and I do actually it think will. After much deliberation I’ve decided that while I do like the addition of Smothers and Coleman for Texas, I still trust the Buckeye staff a little more. They get it done with a few timely plays on both sides
