Proud of our tradition of standing up to capitalist neoliberalism, even in 1839. Everyone knows you don't mess with a Welsh Mam, even if its a bloke dressed up as one!

How do we deal with this? Join your local club, stand for a position in that club, encourage your kids to do the same. Then lead and vote for what is right.

Fifa is in the hands of a neo liberal opportunist, who has no interest in the game of football, but only profit and power. Sport has a bigger function than this....

What's taken so long for a women's Test at Lord's?
When England play India at Lord's, it will be the first time the famous venue - known as the Home of Cricket - has hosted a women's Test. BBC Sport's Ffion Wynne explains what has taken so long.

www.theguardian.com/sport/2026/j... An excellent article that nails the point about how NGBs privatise their sports to TNT, Sky etc. Thereby limiting their audience to those that can afford it whilst disingenuously/lying about their desire to be inclusive and broaden their audiences.

England ruthlessly privatised cricket – Australia embraces it with constant public displays of affection | Emma John
If there is one takeaway for England from this Ashes tour it should be how cricket thrives in a nation where it is readily and freely available as the dominant summer pastime

On this day in 1282, Wales lost its last true Prince. Llywelyn ap Gruffydd is often called 'ein llyw olaf' - 'our last leader', but only for now. Our generation can finish the job and secure an independent Wales. 💪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿.

A lie, of course, as profit is the only concern here. How can you grow a sport behind a pay wall. Once again, sport shows itself to be of benefit to those that can afford it.

This will stop next year when the organisers sell their soul to pay tv, to a company that lost £190m last year. Along with sporting governing bodies in this country, the organisers will say they are growing the sport for future generations.

It's the football authorities, I think, who condone such behaviours through inaction. Refs condone behaviour through inaction, players gambling leads to bigger fines than racially abusing a player. FFP is ineffective posturing.

This is the biggest criticism of EWCB, in light of the Ashes debacle. Resources have been focused, almost exclusively on the top end of the player pathway and not on the development of a coherent club structure. Surely, every sport needs this, it is a core function of any NGB.
