And an intellectual failing. There is literally no sensible argument for him to be running the most powerful military the world has ever known.

That’s crazy. But I think I’m more bemused by the Jaws-themed Operation.

Comparing the rage at the incumbent party responsible for everything that is happening with the frustration people have at the out-of-power party that is (currently) unable to resist all the bad things is grossly misleading and should be contextualized.

David French is happy the court has delivered some theocratic wins, and has repeatedly rationalized those victories in spite of the unethical, norm-busting way McConnell rigged the court’s current membership.

There’s not even an attempt to define “consciousness” in this piece. Even one of our incredibly complex word-prediction machines could have spit out the flaw in this argument. Are these authors conscious?

I sometimes think about the financial stakes of the Whitewater deal (an initial investment of $200k between four investors), which had conservative media in a frenzy for over a decade, and the crickets we now hear from the same sources as Trump enriches himself by billions, while in the White House.

Pulisic has a Champions League medal and has played for three of the top clubs in Europe. Donovan washed out of a second tier German side and had a few decent loan cameos for a mid-table Premiere League team. He potentially could have done more but opted for playing in the MLS.

I’m not sure this has told us much more than has already been apparent, which is that these voters are extremely ignorant and lacking in seriousness, and the brain drain that has occurred in these communities has allowed a lot of hucksters and idiots to fill the local leadership void.

Entitled to not like it, as you have repeatedly pointed out. But the insinuation that this is being done to “other” him in some kind of unique, negative way is just not supported by the fact that many other athletes have been called this, and done so as a compliment.

His primary nickname in Argentina is “La pulga,” or “the flea,” which is hardly (on its face) any more complimentary. The point I was making is using the word “alien” to describe an extraordinary athlete is very common, and hasn’t been applied to Wembanyama in a derogatory way. You are, of course…

I honestly have no idea what LaRouche even stood for (at 6yo or today) and can’t be bothered to look it up. To be clear, my “normie” Dad was probably already prepped for the cult. He was an apologist for Nixon, never had a kind word to say about any Democrat, and the ….

Yeah, what we’ve learned is that crazy beliefs and bad ideas distributed by a leaflet handed to you on a street corner seem obviously stupid, but if they’re delivered by someone in a suit in a fancy studio and broadcast 24/7, people will take them seriously. The diverse coalition on the left …
