For a labmate's going-away party, CERF member Stephanie Tsui baked a cake replica of a marsh organ: elevation gradients, experimental treatments, sugar spartina, Oreo-crumble soil, and rainbow sprinkle microbes. The results? Delicious! Bake your own using Stephanie's schematic!

Today we highlight field trips & workshops held on the 1st day of #CERF2025. There were 2 field trips—white water rafting on the James River & a historic Jackson Ward tour—and 8 workshops such as the Japanese Art of Gyotaku. With so many options, there was something for everyone!
