Lessons from Australia on legislation and implementation of assisted dying from @centrethinktank.co.uk: ✅ Additional investment in palliative care funding ✅ More than 100 individual safeguards ✅ Signs of convergence, not a slippery slope
Infographic titled "Impacts of assisted dying" with three sections:

Additional investment in palliative care funding – Assisted dying legislation has led to nearly one billion Australian dollars in additional palliative care funding across all states, with ten-year plans to enhance services and technology.

More than 100 individual safeguards – Australia’s systems include over 100 safeguards such as statewide services, training, and guidance to ensure safe implementation.

Signs of convergence, not a slippery slope – No evidence of a "slippery slope"; states maintain consistent laws and learn from one another rather than weakening requirements.

We are seeing espionage in British waters from Russia with spying, sabotage of internet cables and undersea pipelines, underwater drones and surveillance equipment. We need heavy sanctions on this fleet and to secure our seas. www.thetimes.com/uk/defence/a...

This is not only correct but is backed up by other countries. @centrethinktank.co.uk looked at states within Australia and America that have assisted dying systems in place. In these areas, investment in palliative care increased and support for the systems grew.

Reforming the NHS
“The NHS must reform or die.” Ominous words indeed from a Labour prime minister less than 100 days into his premiership.
