It's still cold, and there's still some snow on the ground so it's a perfect day to come to the warm CPM reading room and listen to a record or a CD at our listening station. Today's listening recommendation is Kate Bush's 2011 album 50 Words for Snow, which was inspired by snowfall and winter!

The Internet is written in pencil, not ink, which is why both physical archives like the CPM and digital ones like @archive.org are important in preserving history.

We've got a new CD Staff pick this week! It's Boyz II Men's 1991 debut album Cooleyhighharmony from our assistant director, Rachel. Split into "Adagio" and "Allegro" sections, Cooleyhighharmony features a good blend of slow jams and dance floor fillers, including the hit single "Motownphilly".
The CD Cooleyhighharmony sits on a black case at the Center for Popular Music reading room.
