Yes and no, with unreal its 2 separate control slides, so I could tell it I don't want any air control or even tell it I want all the air control and it will give me as much control as if I am moving on the ground, so changing that one slider just makes tuning air control so easy

For a platformer it's always going to be responsiveness, if you don't have a character that's responsive in a platformer it kinda breaks the flow of the game, you can always tweak momentum but nailing down that down early on is the best thing you can do especially for working on platforming sections

I definitely took elements from all three, I loved how much control you have with ratchet when you jump especially the double jump you can change your direction, Jak I got the jump feel from, I just loved jumping and moving around in that game and I loved how the camera worked in Pysconaughts 2

Because I grew up playing platformers I had quite a few to reference, but my main ones for my movement and jump were pysconaughts 2, ratchet and clank 2 and Jak and Daxter, to me these had the best feeling for general movement especially the jump

I spent over a year tweaking and testing all the jump physics and how it felt towards other established platformers that I could get, I wanted to lock this is as best as I could do before starting to work on any level design

No, I spent the first year and a bit of this remake fine tuning the jump and other physics based things until I was happy with them, if I wanted to make a change to any of them it would mean I would have to go back throughout the whole game and change everything for the jump

Actually no, early on when I started working on the character movement I made some meter blocks and I have those saved in a test world so I always know how far and how high Azzy can jump
