I was gonna try and stream today but finishing this up took a lot out of me for some reason... There's definitely still issues with it, but I'm happy. Also realized I completely forgot her ears last time... (She has a neck now too!) #vtuber #rigging

So I've been working on my model some I wasn't super happy with the range of motion so I spent some time today trying to improve it. There are definitely some parts where the deformations look weird, but honestly, it makes her look like jelly when she moves around and I love it. #vtuber #rigging

Honestly, OSRS leagues is the first time in a long time that I've actually, socialized in Runescape. going to boss masses and ranting with people about drops, making friends to go do raids with, explaining to someone doing barrows runs with me that sometimes the dogsword just makes you woof I swear

Don’t let the desire to make “good” art stand in the way of making art. Make bad art earnestly and joyfully. Pour your heart into poorly executed, derivative creations. And maybe it will end up “good” eventually or maybe it won’t, but either way you got to experience the magic of creating.

Celsie_RS @celsiers.bsky.social · 27/11/2024

I went to go lay down but I had an Idea instead so here we are. I started thinking about it when I was watching Arcane last night. I just baked the normal map and then opened it in Krita and painted over it, and reapplied it. I love it (The monkey is just from Blender I didn't make it)

After experimenting with lighting I've kind of come full circle to where I started, but at least with a better understanding of it now. Also realistic lighting on a cartoony image looks kind of, uncanny

My sleep schedule has been an absolute mess for weeks, I've been randomly falling asleep whenever and literally spent a few days almost entirely in bed... so *why* am I wide awake and feeling rested after like 4 hours of sleep? I don't trust it

020

Celsie_RS @celsiers.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

I've been having a great time actually pacing myself and taking breaks from art now and then. It does make ideas start piling up and leave a lot of stuff as WIP though...

030

Celsie_RS @celsiers.bsky.social · 19/11/2024

Okay, the way I've been shading has been bugging me, so I'm gonna try something different. I've been trying the pretty typical "painting shadows on" thing, but that's just, not how I intuitively understand lighting and materials. So instead I'll try the way I tend to think about light

3 balls, 2 in a light spot and 1 in a darker spot. The top left is a softer material, the top right is a shinier one, and the bottom is softer and in a less powerful light.

I have a bad habit of diving headfirst into a project the second I have the energy. This is why I never have the energy. I was actually in bed all day yesterday, I got up maybe twice for a total of half an hour? Remember to take breaks y'all.

Panel 1: looking through a cupboard; Panel 2: holding a nearly empty bottle labeled "Creative Energy"; Panel 3: throwing the bottle into a fireplace, which flares up; Panel 4: looking satisfied as the fireplace burns out.
