Saw one of these today in Cheshire, and after confirming I wasn't hallucinating discovered they're even wilder than they look, given that they migrate! Never even heard of them before, are they common down south?

Found an ancient family album, with no annotations and unfortunately they glued the photos in! There are some that have separated with tantalising notes on the back. Anyone involved in conversation know if glue used for paper in the 30s might be a given type?
