lancer players have a halberd or boar spear, depending on team, that they can use to charge and instakill the enemy infront of them. however, they don't have any extra hp, and it turns out shotguns are indeed lethal weapons.

vanknight is a name for the "subclass" of using vanguard, the only class with a sheild, alongside the trench/calvery sword, the second strongest melee weapon. vanknights are almost immune to damage from the front, save only for their hand, and can kill in one or two hits

"hellion guard dog" refers to a player standing behind a teamate using the 'hellion' semi auto shotgun. hellion guard dogs often use their teamates as meat sheilds, but since vanguards have actual sheilds, the pair is twice as dangerous

appa volk is short for apparition volk, meaning someone using the 'volk' scoped rifle with the apparition perk. said perk dims your lantern on kill, making it harder for enemies to see you. appa volks are disliked for their ability to hide in dark areas and pick your team off unseen from a distance
