iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I hope I'm not too late, but I did that whole "9 Games that shaped you as a person" thing people are doing :>>>> I think I got it mostly narrowed down, though I probably would have thrown in Minecraft if there was one more spot :>

My 9 Games :>
-Animal Crossing New Horizons
-Splatoon 2 (mostly because of Octo Expansion)
-Tomodachi Life
-Deltarune
-Pikmin 3
-Swapdoodle
-Celeste
-Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
-Streetpass Mii Plaza

Today is Truth and Reconciliation Day in Canada. We remember those we have lost. We honor those taken from us by the residential school system and we honor those who survived, their families and communities. We will never forget and we will carry them with us.

illustration for truth and reconciliation day. the illustration features a wolf looking forward, standing with its pup who is also looking forward. there is a circle behind them with an eight point star dreamcatcher and three feathers. the words "EVERY CHILD MATTERS" are featured on the side of the circle

So anyway I just got dual head scratches from a cute trans girl and her partner while we were playing Mario Kart, and they were both talking about how cute and flustered I was... and now I'm home and one of them sent me a video of their cyber deck with "cedar is silly girl" programmed in pico8... 😳

My Parents and Friends: "hey are you ok, you've been sitting in the basement during a gas leak all day" Me, who had literally no idea and just thought I had a random headache:

I saw hate group posters in my hometown for the first time almost 3 years, feeling kinda worried today. Thankfully most of them were hacked up or torn down, but God this really sucks :(

Small Last Minute Update: I initially wanted the Video to go up at 12pm EST, but I'm having issues with the export so expect it to be more around 1-2pm But I might as well say that the topic is going to be Miis and Gender, as was voted for in last year's poll :>

The message included with this proto dump is rad

Today, I’m releasing the SNES proof-of-concept alpha of Project Dream, the proto-type that would go on to become Banjo-Kazooie.

I’ve held on to this for years, it was fun to have something that only a handful of people had, and as I am several people removed from how it got out of Rare to begin with, I didn’t want to risk that it could somehow get someone else in trouble, (so how I got it is a story I don’t plan to share.) I will just say that I got it from someone who got it from someone, who got it from somewhere.

But with the current state of the industry and Microsoft's current heartless gutting and mismanagement of Rare and other companies it controls, plus with how long it's been, I feel it's more important to make sure this is properly preserved, and the ROM dissected by people with far more knowledge on how to do such things.

I hope by releasing this, that it also inspires other people to release what they have as well. I know the Twelve Tales Conker 64 prototype is out there somewhere, but sadly, this is the only thing that I have.

There is little joy left in the industry, as it relentlessly marches towards AI, layoffs, l anti-preservation and ownership tactics, and, in Microsoft’s case, the support and approval of literal genocide in Gaza.

Let’s get the last beautiful things hiding on our hard drives out there for everyone. That's all we have left.

Switch sports resort actually looks really good... they learned from the disaster that was the last game and it looks much more complete and actually worth playing. Super excited and also confirming miis can actually use the customization this time is huge

If I had a nickel for everytime Nintendo randomly decided to update a Wii U port this week with new multiplayer options instead of doing it for each games respective sequel. I'd have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot but its wierd that it happened twice.
