I´m on page 40 of @hildur.bsky.social's Vetrarfrí, and it´s torture to have to read a good horror book in excessively slow motion (translating every few words)! But I have to say my Icelandic is improving. I enjoyed the word "hunangsseríos" on this page. 🥣

I use heat reflective bubble wrap on inside windows, + some on outside south-facing. Inside, I use adhesive velcro tabs on each window, & on the corners of each sheet of reflective wrap. I can attach them to the inside of windows when needed, and take them off & roll them up when the sun goes down.

Just re-read Pet Sematary, 40 years after reading it for the first time. It was the first @stephenking.bsky.social book I ever read, and it's still my favorite by far! Also read Our Wives Under The Sea by #juliaarmfield, which was beautiful.
