I want to say a big thank you to each and every one of you for sharing your words, sharing your art, supporting my art, choosing my art for your business or your home, and bringing beauty and kindness into the world. Here are some reflections on my design and artmaking in 2025.

My toile with a twist is a delicate floral design featuring some surreal floral faces. For anyone who wants a little bit of mystery and the unusual in their dressmaking, linens, home decor, and walls.
A floral toile repeat fabric print with golden ochre flowers with mysterious faces on a black background.

The mythical Phoenix is a symbol of harmony, transformation and peace in Chinese culture. I wanted to feature the Phoenix along with some symbolic flowers in my Chinese Heritage Revival design, my take on the traditional Arts & Crafts design. #fabricdesign #surfacedesign #pattern #phoenix

Crane in Flight with Flowers is a plate decorated with an applicator for the underglaze. The applicator created a slightly uneven and blobby flow, but it was handmade with love. This plate was a gift for a friend. #pottery #handmade #handmadepottery #ceramics

Happy Year of the Snake! I realised I hadn't shared this plate I made for my snake-obsessed son. It was decorated with sgraffito carved underglaze painting and finished with Amaco Potter's Choice Saturation Metallic. I had to wash it first - we use it most days. #pottery #handmade #ceramics

I think Foxglove flowers are so pretty, and I love the idea of foxes putting their little paws into these soft sweet flowers. But they aren’t so sweet. The leaves, flowers and seeds of the foxglove are toxic and can be fatal to humans and animals! Here's a little fabric collection #design #flowerart
A collection of four fabric designs in shades of cream, pinks, peach and reds, featuring organic lines, shapes and flowers.

Here is my little Orchids mini collection for #2025patternchallengebyholli The complementary prints are definitely the most fun to design right now. What a delightful discovery, after so many years of focusing on hero prints! #surfacedesign #pattern #flowers #fabric #printdesign #floral #orchids

Happy Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025! The Lunar New Year is a great opportunity to get things in order you didn’t get around to for the new year, such as all that cleaning, goal setting and habit tracking. Wishing you a fresh new year to declutter the old and make space for the new!
A cream coloured snake with a fuschia eye is covered in a rainbow of multicoloured flowers and leaves, including chrysanthemums and gladiolus which are lucky flowers for the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025.
