40/23 VC16 Black Rustic and Feathered Ranunculus NFY. Some notable micros - 2 Monopis crocicapitella and 2 that I'm not sure. The darker one Blastobasis adustella maybe? Earlier this year I had a Blastobasis Phycidella specimen confirmed by CR and I keep getting them, obsidentify tells me #teammoth

A few weeks ago I was really hoping I would see my first Vestal soon and now I've seen at least 5! A second one for the garden this morning, much more pink than the first. Plus I've seen several at the marshes, flushed from the long grass #teammoth

70/20 VC16 last night. Thought it would be higher given the conditions. All the usual suspects but did get one NFG that seems to be a nice little rarity -Pediasia contaminella #teammoth

Three interesting encounters today! My first Convolvulus Hawk in the trap this morning, a little worse for wear but still amazing to see! Also a Jersey Mocha I think? And what I think is some kind of little bagworm moth - any thoughts on what it could be? #teammoth

74/26 VC16. Catoptria falsella the only NFY. Highlights inc. Acrobasis suavella, Oncocera semirubella, Neocochylis molliculana and a Riband Wave that I think looks a bit unusual (?). Also saw my first Vestal last night finally, not in the trap, but in the car park at work! #teammoth

@uk-soldierflies.bsky.social Is this Villa hottentotta? Found this morning at Swanscombe marshes. Could only manage this one photo before it flew off, and being quite windy I couldn't find it again

Sir Keir has misrepresented the impact of conservation on housing in Ebbsfleet. The majority of the homes are going ahead. The distinguished jumping spider isn’t even in the development area, but it is a precious habitat. Let's move beyond nature vs. growth - sustainable development benefits us all.
