Our PM Carney is absolutely right. We have had this “free trade” agreement with the USA for many decades and it’s always the Americans who keep wanting to change it for their benefit. It’s time we Canadians woke up and smelled the coffee. We were slowly becoming Americanized thanks to our media 🇨🇦🇨🇦💪💪

While O&G production in Alberta year after year except for the pandemic years you could never guess that from the Alberta government and the media. In a newscast Ottawa bashing and “grievance” comes first and the facts at the end. It gives me pause if these “journalists” actually read what the say

You just have to laugh at the words of Jimmy medal of freedom guy Jordan about “draining the swamp. Seems he was wading in it and couldn’t find the plug. Typical American. Just an observation

In my foggy memory diesel fuel was dirt cheap but we convinced governments that trucking was far better than trains and let’s convince people paying an extra $7000 for a diesel pickup truck was going to be a huge savings.Best sales pitch ever given by the API and the automakers.SUCK IT UP BUTTERCUPS

Well maybe I am wrong but it was white Christian capitalists who sold off land they didn’t own to immigrants for a good profit to make something of a new life in a province now called Alberta. Seems that some things never change in the insane asylum. Just an observation

In my life as an Albertan the only “grievance” we ever had with Ottawa was the Crow rate for the transportation of livestock and the final product shipping. That was resolved over 50 years ago. To be fair we did have a good health services with a collaboration of government and the medical fraternity

There is this illusion created by the Alberta government and the media that we Albertans “own” our O&G industry when we really don’t. As soon as oil or gas leaves the ground it is owned by the producers and enters the world marketplace at a price of whatever “traders” (Wall Street” determines.

I have to laugh at Albertans and how easily they are manipulated. All the screaming and yelling about a pipeline. We build one and what changed? More jobs? More production? More Alberta prosperity? NONE OF THE ABOVE. But now we need more pipelines. The same old circle jerk. Now data centres next?
010
cdnhelp.bsky.social @cdnhelp.bsky.social · 26/09/2026
Well call me stupid but I think a data Center is the “cloud” coming down to earth. The tech bros have taken away the individuals ability to store his own data, fed people the tech candy of cell phones, and eroded our abilities of privacy for the betterment of the tech bros and not society.

In my past as a Canadian and Albertan we used to have a PROGRESSIVE CONSERVATIVE PARTY. The “ progressive” part was the attention to our social programs and our diverse cultures. The “conservative” part was our fiscal management of our money and resources. Seems we have NONE OF THE ABOVE right now

YAHOO!!! I received my referendum ballot in the mail. Time for me as a Canadian born and raised in Alberta to send the MAGA mutts my message. NO TO THE NINE AND WE ARE CANADIAN. Time for MAGA Smith to pack her bags and head off to Panama. The sooner the better in my book. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪

So as I say we can not forecast people. We plan on a 25% absentee rate in civilization and then AC/DC roles into town. By noon of the day 50% gone. The next day by noon maybe 50% back in some kind of condition. ITS CALLED LIFE and you can never plan for the human condition. ITS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE

So some say those patch workers make “big money” nothing can be further from the truth. Seems people forget the long hours away from home, living in cattle cars built by horse jump freaks. There is nothing glorious in working in the patch. The illusion of money. Just saying

cdnhelp.bsky.social @cdnhelp.bsky.social · 21/09/2026
I just want to say when I was managing projects in the patch we always had a “captive audience” and an absentee rate of less than 2%. When you have a project in “civilization” the absentee rate increases to 25%. WHY? Life impacts everything. All life changes when you have a normal life. Just a fact

Personally speaking I think our Canadian PM Carney understands that the transition from bottle feeding to eating pablum to eating real food is going to have a few tantrums and resistance to the change especially with the “old guard”. Onward, upward and elbows up. 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦💪💪💪🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

In my mind there is only one reason why we have NOT had East/West pipelines and pursuing Asian and European markets in our Canadian past. AND IT WAS NOT OTTAWA. Everything South was Alberta energy policy for many decades. WHY?An energy company that has Canada behind its name doesn’t make it Canadian

I find it ironic that in Alberta we have the Strait of Anthony Henday as it surrounds our refineries causing our fuel prices to skyrocket. It seems our oil comes out of the ground and then enters the the Wall Street made “world price” before it even gets to Strathcona county or even Reginas refinery

In my foggy memory in Alberta we used to build pipeline compressor packages including jet engines. We also had a jet engine repair depot to maintain them. Even donated the older versions to technical institutes for the kids to learn with. What a novel idea that we should open a jet engine repair

I find it hard to understand why buying Canadian and especially local is such a hardship. To me it’s investing in ourselves as well as our economy. While the events of 9/11 were horrendous we never seem to take stock of the WHY. We do know the aftermath and the knee jerk reaction it caused in our world and not for the better. The same forces that created 9/11 are still existing and even worse today. Will we ever learn??? Just saying

In my foggy memory at one time the only real market for diesel were trains. So let’s get rid of trains, put more trucks on the road and put diesel engines in pickup trucks for an extra $7000 and tell consumers how much money they will save. Corporate marketing hard at work. It’s working well!!!!!

Personally speaking as a Canadian after kissing the Americans ass for over 60+ years we finally grew a set of balls. They have never been our “friends”. Most have no idea where Canada even is. Funny how the Americans always exclude O&G, electricity and water. I say fuck them and bring the hammer down

In my foggy memory I recall walking the beaches of Lake Ontario with the stench of dead fish and a nearly totally polluted body of water. Well if you think about it for more than 30 seconds ALL ENERGY is metered when it crosses the border to the USA. Seems to me the feds have a good case for an Excise tax for exports. It would not impact DOMESTIC consumption. If Alberta is happy with $20 a barrel less hey great. WCS =WTI. Seems fair🇨🇦🇨🇦

It seems odd to me that the USA is at war with us Canadians and of course is fighting an oil war around the world we even consider buying American military stuff and provide them with cheap oil and gas.Time for the Saab Grypens from a reliable ALLY I say. And energy is a weapon of war. Just a fact

Even in the Alberta insane asylum you can buy your food stuffs produced in Canada and even ALBERTA with little effort. With better trade relations with other like minded countries we would need the USA like a hole in the head.Funny though in “cattle country” beef is a major investment along with fuel

I was in Scotland in 1974 when “first oil” came to Cruden Bay. I asked my uncle where is the natural gas. “Huh” They flared it off for 20 years for $billions. Never ask a Brit about energy. They love to piss it away

I am not so sure in air travel these days but it used to be the marketing as soon as the wheels were up, got the peanuts and water unless paid for more until the wheels went down. A captured audience for a few hours. Capitalism hard at work

In my days of travel I always interfaced( big word) with the airline people including the airline dudes who welcomed you aboard their ship. The face of an airline. And the airlines shit on them, their biggest sales pitch? Or I am I fucked up? I think not.

Now as an Albertan who knows and worked with many Nefies. They are as honest as the day is long. The cork goes off the bottle and life begins. And believe me they will know when they are cranky. I often wonder how many of them still live in Alberta? An amazing people for sure. CANADIAN EH?

I find it funny that the USA moron suddenly wants the excel pipeline for “needs” he doesn’t need. And we just play along. You just have to love this O&G game. Enjoy your day at the pumps you “suckers and losers”. Let the rape and pillage continue

I have yet to see any political pundit or “expert” in the oil and gas industry say anything factual. They never seem to have mud waders or seen a project site. Never packed skids. Never slopped in the mud. Pie in the sky dreamers with shovels pretending to know something. BEEN THERE DONE THAT

I worked hard to get that mutt LOUGHHEED elected on a platform of change. We Albertans changed for 4 years. And then we sold the farm. And king Pete sat on every board of the energy boys as his just reward. And his “free trade” just the same. Enjoy his mountain and park. He sold us

Personally I don’t give a fuck if our PM Carney ever makes a deal. We Canadians have been fucked over for more than 40 + years with this “free trade” agreement which has never been “free” you can thank Mulroney and LOUGHHEED for that. Just saying as he sat on every energy board room after “retiring”

I think after 40 + years of O&G propaganda it still hasn’t sunk in. WE ARE GETTING FUCKED. And now the baby Americans want the keystone project? Our oil? Why? We have international guys kissing our ass. All just a grand game. Some how our DIRTY OIL is a hot commodity. Go figure you dumb fucks
