Single panel excerpt from a comic strip. A distressed peasant remarks, "we should improve society somewhat." A smiling man, emerging from a nearby well, observed the peasant and remarks, "yet you participate in society. Curious! I am very intelligent."

Today's joke post; tomorrow's hot trend in AI.
A screenshot of an x.com post dated April 21, 2026 12:55AM. The author's name is Christoffer Bjelke. The author's handle is @chribjel. The post reads: "We hired a junior developer to write the simple code, so we don't have to spend a ton of money on tokens for those basic/primitive tasks"

Open models by and large do not deserve to be called open (yes there are exceptions). Even so, Bluesky will never implement so-called open models in Attie. If they did, their target audience would not use the app; they would build or discover an alternative that uses a "better quality" closed AI.

I'll take up the call. Open models NOW!
Screenshot of an excerpt from a TNW article about Attie. The excerpt reads, "The standalone app, built on the AT Protocol and powered by Anthropic’s Claude, was unveiled at the ATmosphere conference by Jay Graber, who stepped back from Bluesky’s CEO role specifically to build it. It’s currently invite-only, with a waitlist open." In the screenshot, the phrase "powered by Anthropic's Claude" is highlighted in blue.

Two panel's from the graphic novel edition of Disney's Sword in the Stone. Wart (Arthur) remarks, "What a way to pack!" after witnessing Merlin use magic to pack his bags; Merlin replies, "Don't you get any foolish ideas that magic will solve all your problems. Now, develop your brain. Knowledge, wisdom. There's the REAL power."

Modeled a logo for something. #Blender + geometry/shader nodes is a rewarding workflow compared to 2D vector alternatives. I wrote some more about it here: cdata.earth/works/yarn/

What, you mean guys like this?
A screenshot of a synopsis of the character Colin Robinson from the TV show What We Do in the Shadows. It reads: "Colin Robinson is a character from the TV series What We Do in the Shadows. He is an energy vampire who drains people's energy by being boring or frustrating. He lives with a group of traditional vampires and is often the source of annoyance and frustration for them."

Since this demo was recorded, the most flashy thing we've created is a TUI inspector for Dialog databases.

It's wild what you can achieve with CSS alone on a multi-page website in 2025. No JS at all. Just one CSS keyframe animation and a declarative opt-in to the view transitions API.

someone probably: metered intelligence puts me on equal footing with those in power those in power:
A photo of a summary of an article by Alice Thomson in The Times. It reads:

Viewpoint: Tech billionaire parenting
"Melinda Gates's children don't have smartphones and only use a computer in the kitchen. Her husband Bill spends hours in his office reading books while everyone else is refreshing their homepage. The most sought-after private school in Silicon Valley, the Waldorf School of the Peninsula, bans electronic devices for the under-11s and teaches the children of eBay, Apple, Uber and Google staff to make go-karts, knit and cook. Mark Zuckerberg wants his daughters to read Dr Seuss and play outside rather than use Messenger Kids. Steve Jobs strictly limited his children's use of technology at home. It's astonishing if you think about it: the more money you make out of the tech industry, the more you appear to shield your family from its effects."

The "is this a butteryfly?" meme, where: the human character is labeled "my fraying attention"; the butterfly is covered by a headshot of Rich Hickey and labeled, "The universal relation of datoms is well suited for datalog+recusion, which has expressive power equivalent to the relational algebra behind SQL"; and, the subtitle reads, "I'm in danger."
