Arriving in the Cordillera Blanca, our latest paper is out. The tropical American mountains are Earth's most diverse alpine regions, but history shapes biodiversity more than latitude in these habitats. Tomorrow I'll be running above 4,400 m, hoping to spot remarkable birds.
