New paper: Incoherence, referential and Fregean
I’m happy to report that my paper Incoherence, referential and Fregean has been accepted for publication in Synthese. You can download a preprint here. Structural irrationality, also known as incoherence, consists in the obtaining or failure to obtain of certain relations among the propositional contents of a subject’s attitudes. For instance, it is structurally irrational to believe in a proposition P and also believe its negation not-P.

So, many would now suggest that coordination between concepts is intransitive. But how often and how significant would this be? In this paper, Joost and I respond: not very! Out today open access in Ratio: "On the Limits of Intransitive Coordination" onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/...

I built a Zotero plugin to fix inconsistent author names in your library. (J. Smith, John Smith, Smith John… we're all familiar.) Mendeley had this for years. @zotero.org didn't. 500+ cases in my library alone. Now you can batch-review and normalize all at once: github.com/milekpl/zote.... Free.

This Millikan line goes (as they say) hard.
"White Queen Psychology" is a
diatribe against meaning rationalism, as was the Epilogue of LTOBC.
My desire is to kill meaning rationalism dead, and then beat on it.
Perhaps I will succeed in raising one or two more doubts about it.
Reasoning, I insist, is done in the world, not in one's head. Logical pos-
sibility (known a priori) is impossible. And the only hope for inten-
tional psychology is to embrace its biological roots.
