Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 01/10/2026They're doing a showing of this in Albany and he'll be there for Q & A. Think I'll check it out. 000
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 29/09/2026I hope the conclusion is that it is more important than we think. 021
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 25/09/2026I would definitely put the Wire above Breaking Bad, and probably Deadwood as well. 000
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 25/09/2026It’s a great series and interesting the ways it veers from the book. It works well. I also wish we had another season of the Changeling. I loved that series. 010
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 23/09/2026This is the book I’m most looking forward to this year. Can’t wait to get my copy. 120
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Good bookmail today. Looking forward to learning about what’s been happening in Amityville since we last heard from that quiet little burg. 000
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Meanwhile NSF just put out a call for proposals for research into how to integrate AI with physical systems (e.g. robots, drones, etc.). 000
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 18/09/2026As someone with an identical twin, I was always fascinated with the evil twin episodes popular at that time. My brother and I sometimes argued about who was the evil one. We both have goatees though so maybe both of us? 010
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 25/08/2026My kid (an artist) was told, by an art history professor on the first day of class that if they don’t use AI then they should learn to serve tables. Someone that teaches about the creativity and work of artists! Just gross. 020
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 24/08/2026Started my 10th year of teaching at my university today (15th in a tenure track position). I have mixed feelings, but I always look forward to talking about archaeology and science with students regardless of the rest. 030
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 05/08/2026If those things went down I wouldn’t even notice. Never used them, never will. 110
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 30/07/2026There are some good songs but I just can’t get past all the autotune on his voice. I don’t mind a little for effect, but it’s way too much. 100
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 14/07/2026Thanks for the resources Lisa. Maybe we can chat about it in St. John's in a couple of weeks. Would love to hear about your approach. 010
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 13/07/2026Hey Archaeologists, I'm doing a new class in the Fall on Collaborative and Community Archaeology and I was hoping y'all could turn me on to some articles or chapters that I could assign for my class to read. I have a good start, but would love to learn about more. 🏺 611
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 06/07/2026Also ruining peoples' ability to think. I've been calling it cognitive colonization too. 030
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 29/06/2026I pay every year for my car insurance bit I haven’t “used it” in forever. 010
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 27/06/2026Alas, I live in an food-dystopic, Whataburger-less world called the Northeast. 020
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 27/06/2026AI makes everything less interesting to me: music, writing, art, thinking (or lack of), and most importantly the people who use it. It is the experiences we have that make us interesting and when you give those experiences over to a computer you immediately become less interesting. 000
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 14/06/2026I think that is the one right before where people who are too afraid to enter Uncanny Valley stop and turn around. 010

Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 15/05/2026Now I just got to hope only 24 other people enter. :) 010
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 06/05/2026My kid is a published author! Check out their (Trace Wolff) story, 100 Planes, under fiction at this link. It's a beautiful story. So proud of them! www.gandydancer.orggandydancer.orgVOL. 14 NO. 2 - Gandy Dancer 010
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 27/04/2026They’re the majors that many universities are cutting so they can hire AI-focused faculty. 0112
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 27/04/2026Any other archaeologists going to the SAAs going to put a "this presentation made by hand using no AI" statement in their talk or poster? I think I will. 🏺 062
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 15/04/2026Loved this. At least the Gooch told me I should love this. 😃 010
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 15/04/2026It seems if you’re worried about AI taking your jobs in the future it would be best not to show your bosses how you are basically just an extension of it. 050
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 15/04/2026Yup. I’m told all the time I should trust the Gooch. The Gooch is inevitable. 020
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 14/04/2026I prefer my intelligence to be human-sourced and organic. :) 000
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 13/04/2026I'm old enough to remember when people thought they were Jesus they were locked up in a mental institution. 000
Chris Wolff @cbwolff.bsky.social · 26/03/2026Don't know why some people are obsessed with this, like if we don't teach it all this knowledge will be lost. Meanwhile, there are people who can read cuneiform and hieroglyphics. Cursive at least is the same language as the reader, so not hard to decipher. 010
