I really hate how people cannot be nuanced and have constructive criticisms without immediately being considered a hater. It’s really toxic and unhealthy if you can’t engage with your media in a healthy manner. Acknowledging flaws and still liking media because of it isn’t being an “anti”.

Also, based on what Octavia said in Loo Loo Land, Stolas and Stella weren’t openly fighting until after the affair started. She thought they didn’t hate each other before then. Stella was probably only abusing Stolas in ways Octavia didn’t notice.

I think it might be a bit of both Stolas was good at hidding Stella's abuse, especially when Via was little But the affair and divorce appeared to come out of nowhere to her So Via thinks of him as an inconsiderate asshole And had to use her headphones constantly after Real Fast cus of yelling
