277 days till Halloween… time to start planning

Chris Biagi @cbiagi16.bsky.social · 18/01/2025

The wife and I took a Women’s Basketball vacation a week or so back. I am really thinking we take the long drive next season for a game at Rupp.

Way to many good ballgames today. I need to turn the living room into a sports bar and have screens everywhere.

We’re inside of a week til the basketball trip. I still need a top 10 ladies 6-10 loss (Oklahoma excluded) so we can get the ladies of TCU in the top 10. That way we see a top 10 matchup Texas & Oklahoma (currently 5 & 9 respectively), as well as a top 10 TCU (currently 11)

If the Oklahoma Sooners Women & Texas Longhorns Women both play Jan 2 like they played today my wife and I are in for an amazing night of basketball. #BasketballTourNight1

Really shouldn’t have to post this one but if we just follow one another & you inbox me & start on some “let me tell you about a deal” or something along those lines… you’ll be blocked as soon as I read it.

So you have someone that asks for a book recommendation. What is the ONE book that you recommend? I’m going to go with Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein”. #Books

I would like to take a vacation to somewhere obscure. Not a vacation place at all. Just sit in a chair and read. No cell service, TV hit & miss. Just the wife & me, some books and relaxation.

So I stumbled across a post somewhere that @travisbaldree.bsky.social has a third book in his series coming out. Can I possibly be more excited???? I doubt it! Love me some Viv! #Booksky #Books

The streak has ended… it wasn’t exactly “all night”, but I fell asleep and slept last night unmediated. Words fail in expressing how thrilled I was and am.

Choose 20 books that have stayed with you or influenced you. One book per day for 20 days, in no particular order. No explanations, no reviews, just covers. #booksky #books #bookchallenge 💙📚 (Day 20)

See here’s my take… yeah the whole whatchamacallit about someone daring say the word “Queer”… hubbub that’s the word… anyways if this is the first time the whole dynamic has hit these folks between the eyes… bless their heart

Have a book in my head. A series actually. Anyways, I read the demo offered on Kindle & am utterly obsessed. The book reads like a great piece of music. —more later

Well as an exile in Arkansas I know at least for now the option is available.

Ah we’re cat folks… skittish cat folks so even pondering a hike w/ them is almost enough to make me laugh. The Drs I see regularly are through the VA. But I’ve thought abt seeing “civilian” doctors where cannabis would be an option.

To all my #Booksky friends… do you have a book you’ve never read that you really want to?

000 0

Chris Biagi @cbiagi16.bsky.social · 27/11/2024

Serious question do you have a thing for the really bad days? My “relaxation method” is allowing my brain to “go squirrel” the hardest thing is the days for whatever reason that doesn’t happen.

the US. Losing “Die Boekklub” was like losing family. Worse over the years I have never been able to find the DVDs so I can’t even share the show with my wife & friends. All I have are memories.

Chris Biagi @cbiagi16.bsky.social · 27/11/2024

True, but sad, story. After a lifetime of mistakes & defeating homelessness my entertainment was an app called @showmax.bsky.social & especially a show called “Die Boekklub”. The sadness was the email I received telling me my subscription would be ending as they would no longer be available (cont)

Chris Biagi @cbiagi16.bsky.social · 26/11/2024

I’m abt ready to snap. Drs want to throw a spitball at the wall & say “Take this”. I’m at least informed enough to think “If you think it’s X have me come have blood drawn to be sure”. I mean you don’t amputate a leg for a paper cut on the thumb nor do you treat lung cancer like an ear infection.

It’s an interesting read. Made all the more so being written by the guy famous for the “Pina Colada” song
