“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”

The world makes less and less sense to me. Please make a bird house out of my head when I’m done with in this place.

Nearly done with this one. I am pretty happy with the dappled light. I don't know that I have ever done that successfully but here I think I pulled it off. Finally got a chance to get into this project and it is pretty fun especially since I have been really into DnD lately. #TTRPG #illustration

I went to bed early and just awoke from a nightmare. I was getting trapped in a network of convoluted tunnels under a mountain in my car. It was flooding and looked like the only way out was through…

I woke up at two in the morning. I was tossing and turning. So my mind went to work drawing. Do anyone else draw in their head? #pencils #spiderman #comicart #commissionme

This was me messing with procreate. I’m typically an illustrator that works with ink on paper then moves over to photoshop. Procreate is pretty good. I’m still more comfortable with PS. Decisions, decisions. I do like having a neat little process video in the end. Keeping both as of now.

Cathead is plunged into the deep waters of the subconscious. It is dark and there is no up.

Thank you so much 🖤. I'm Matt, a transmasc illustrator. I would love to work on more books, tarot, and ttrpg projects (I also have a secret bucket list desire to paint a mtg card). www.mspencerillustration.com mspencerillustration@gmail.com shop, Patreon etc. : linktr.ee/mspencerdraws

A watercolor painting depicting an anthropomorphic unicorn knight holding a bejewelled goblet. He is dipping the tip of his horn into the cup- appearing to transform what may be blood into pure blue water. He sits within a gilded frame. Behind him is a cracked and tilting chapel that sits on a cliff. Behind and below the gilded frame, is a buckthorn bush with green leaves and black berries. A black serpent slithers through the branches and lifts its head towards the goblet in the knight's hands.

A watercolor painting in olive green-golds, chartreuse, orange and grey. Mist swirls around a robed anthropomorphic owl in some kind of catacomb. Roots crawl down the wall above the entryway. The owl holds a gnarled staff in one hand and a glowing orb in the other. Stone niches behind her display candles and reliquaries. The panels flanking the central image show ornately decorated bones of a deer leg on the left, and on the right, a closeup of an elk skull wrapped in pearls with a semiprecious gem in the eye socket.

The Knight of Wands card for Wyrmwood's Corrupted Tarot. A watercolor painting in hot teal and dark reds. It depicts a dark knight in a horned helm and spiky armor mounted on a spectral steed riding on a sunken path through dead woods overtaken by leafless brambles. He brandishes a flaming torch in one hand and yanks back on the reigns of his rearing horse with the other hand. A wall of thorny vines blocks their path.

A mock cover for "Between Two Fires" by Christopher Buehlman. A watercolor painting of a knight in a hat, clutching his sword and bowing his head. Behind him is a stained glass window featuring hellish flames and an armored demon appearing to raise a mace against the knight. The window is broken, revealing moonlit landscape in the far background.

Inking Timelapse. I’m using a Tombow brush pen over pencils on Bristol. I added some Copic greys to the final. This is an 11x17 page for a re release of my Cathead comic. This image feels like todays vibe too honestly. We are going to be fighting demons.
