The King County Administration Building is a nine-story office building located in Seattle, the seat of King County, Washington, United States. Completed in 1971, the building is located at 500 Fourth Avenue, between Jefferson Street and James Street, and parking is available in parking garages on all surrounding streets. Designed by the Harmon, Pray and Detrich architectural firm, it features a unique hexagonal, honeycomb theme in its walls and windows. The building also has underground tunnels that connect to the adjacent King County Courthouse and Chinook Building.

A small fountain in the center of a pool shooting several streams of steaming water straight up. The administration building is directly behind.

The administration building was built in 1936 and became a National Historic Landmark in 1987. It's the newest building to be added onto bathhouse row, and started out as the park's visitor center and museum in addition to being the administration building. It wasn't until 1989 when the visitor center and museum operations moved into the newly refurbished Fordyce Bathhouse.

It was designed in 1936 by Charles Peterson and Thomas Vint of the Park Service's Eastern Planning Division. Peterson especially liked Spanish architecture as the roof is made of clay tiles and the entrance also features Spanish Baroque doors.The building does have one other function: in the basement there is a pump room and reservoir to help distribute the thermal spring water.

THIS BLACK MARBLE WAS ORIGINALLY CROSSED BY A THIN VEIN OF WHITE CALCITE. IT BROKE NEAR THE CENTER AND THE PART AT THE RIGHT SLIPPED DOWN ONE INCH AS IS SHOWN BY THE DISPLACEMENT OF THE SMALL WHITE VEIN. THE FAULT FISSURE WAS LATER FILLED BY A VEIN OF WHITE CALCITE.
