Long story short: I’m an asylum seeker in France now. I don’t know how long this process will take, but for I still can’t officially work here. So I’m looking for any opportunity to earn money to be able to pay for rent and food. Please, read and share this post ❤️‍🩹 ko-fi.com/illustory

WE NEED HELP
Please, read and share this!
(text version of the pics above)
We are a group of queer artists, and we are in big trouble.
In April 2025, we immigrated to France, seeking a safe place to live and make art.
Our humanitarian visas expired a year ago.
Since then, we have been trying to get legal status in France.
To be able to work, open a bank account, get health insurance and just have some basic human rights.
We spent a whole year fighting for our lives against Strasbourg Prefecture and we lost.

All this time we couldn't properly work, so we were burning our savings.
In August, all three of us were denied a residence permit.
According to the Prefecture, the only option for us To stay legally in France is to become asylum seekers.
About a week ago, we sent out our applications for the asylum.
Now we are looking at another indefinite stretch of time, before we are summoned to Paris for interviews.
It might be two months, three months, half of a year or even more... no one knows for sure.

We had planned for a year without documents max, and now it's been a year and a half already.
No matter how hard we tried to stretch our savings, they have run out.
Currently, we don't have enough money to pay for rent and food in November.
It's hard for me to admit that, but we are in huge trouble, with all our hopes and plans ruined by the French bureaucracy.
We really need your help and every little bit matters, so I came up with some options for how you can support us.

I'm so sad Wicked Spot was cancelled... A yuri that was so ambitious, with great characters, a great universe and so much to tell. And yet, it had to stop so early. It's unfair.

I just seen someone I respect a lot saying that they won't refuse a commission because of political views. I guess it's alright. But please know that if your political beliefs don't respect me, people and life itself I WILL refuse your commission 🤍

You know your environmentalism is getting a bit extreme when you see someone say, "I took 25 trains to get to Japan," and you think, without batting an eye, "Hey, why not?"

I wasn't sure about posting this one, but it was still another fun experiment so here it is! Of course it is more Vera art because she has been consuming my life 🦢 #art #oc #ocsky #dnd

Vera is standing with a lit candle in her hands before a monumental tomb. The structure is stone with marble columns, two statues at the entrance: an angel with two set of wings playing the harp, while an angel strains herself towards them at their feet. The scene is set at night under the moonlight, shadows billowing and forming the shape of a vulture flying right behind Vera and the tomb.

New character alert!!! Ivraelle, the main character of my sapphic dnd-inspired story. She's a bard (college of eloquence), a duchess, and wrongly accused of murder. I created her 3 days ago and I'm obsessed. #silvershroud

A symmetrical fullbody featuring an elf. She has purple skin, purple eyes with pink and turquoise highlights, and black tied hair. She is wearing a renaissance-inspired headdress (padded roll with an embroidered veil), an embroidered corset, a white shirt with bishop sleeves, and a floor-length purple skirt. Her whole outfit is decorated with pearls.

final attack for @/omurice !! 🕊️🌙 #ocs #ocsky #ocart #art

artfight user omurice's character, eriana, stans on top of a railing within an ornate silver frame, with the night sky behind her, the moon framing her face. dramatic rim lighting and bright blue subsurface scattering makes her figure look more dramatic against the rest of the scene. she holds up her hand to allow a flying nightingale to come to rest against it, in the midst of many other nightingales flying around the scene.
