So I was experimenting with a low poly art_style as well. I'm not sure if I prefer the hand drawn characters or low poly. Also the texture is completely Vertex Painted, no UV map, it's pretty effective for editing the character in a non destructive way.

Small GameDev update, I made the player character carrying a sword which shoots magic slashes. I worked on different enemies, the worm still has a placeholder mesh but I'm really proud of getting its burrying mechanic done : ) I also worked on a xp and currency system, it's all coming together.

Update on my project, I made my first skeleton enemy and also build a modifier system + inventory which affects your weapon's behaviour. I only have 4 items so far, but I'm planning to add more with proper 3D models : )
