Cattype 🖤🩶🤍💜👺👹 @cattype.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

She’s back from the vet. They took her blood and wasn’t there to comfort her.😢 The good news is she’ll be eating chicken and rice from now on so I hope she feels like a queen🍗🍚👑

She doesn’t know why she’s not getting her nightly treat and she’s very hurt. It’s because she’s still sick. She’s going to the vet on Tuesday to hopefully explain her weird poops. Until then it’s better safe than sorry

Going through my collection of paper ads I’ve gotten from conventions. Anyone interested in a free Hawaiian Five-o ringtone? I say this with the assumption ringtones don’t work like this anymore but it might just be that no one really cares about ringtones anymore. I wouldn’t know.

Drawing Black Annis from English folklore. I’m wondering if I lost something from the original sketch but then that sketch was from memory without doing research

My doggy has diarrhea and there was a party behind our house last night that scared her so bad she was shaking and came into my room to sit with me. She also threw up today. FEEL BAD FOR MY DOGGY! On the bright side she does seem to be getting used to the new house.

This dog is baby. How can something be so baby and not BE a baby?

140

Cattype 🖤🩶🤍💜👺👹 @cattype.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

The fact that my dog can’t eat certain foods forces me to face the fact that she is in fact not a baby and that I may have to deal with her doggy mortality sooner or later. Also my knee hurts and (as I just confirmed) looks gross. Feel sorry for us.

Logged into Twitter just to look at the group’s profile (the only info I found on them) The descriptions and tweets are in Japanese so it doesn’t seem they’re trying to appeal to Americans with a niche interest in Japanese history and folklore. More info in alt text

Banner and description for the rap/hip hop group ODD GROOVE TOKYO. The banner is a guy with his face shrouded under a hoodie and smoking a cigarette with the Tokyo skyline behind him on one side and a torii at sunset on the other. It has the kind of lighting that makes it stink of AI.

The description is in Japanese and reads thus: ODD GROOVE TOKYO

Google translates it as thus: Welcome to ODD GROOVE TOKYO.

This music channel features unique characters from Japanese literature, folklore, legends, and classic tales taking to the DJ booth.

Enjoy a slightly unusual yet addictive sound and visuals that fuse a Japanese mood with Hip Hop, Pop Rap, and Jazzy Rap.

Also, there are zero people following the account and the account is following zero people.

I saw this book in a bargain bin at a Barnes and Noble a long time ago. I flipped thru it and passed on it only to think about it so much that I bought it full price 2 years laters when I was already buying too many books. I loved it. Great character dynamic. Will need to read the rest.

Spider-Man: Octo-Girl volume 1
The cover features a middle school girl with Doc Ock’s robo tentacles coming out of her backpack. Her big round eyes and short black hair with the slight swoop in the back make her look like she could be a Osamu Tezuka character (but that’s just my subjective opinion)

I bought a yokai themed hip hop album on iTunes only to realize the album art might be AI. Shit. That doesn’t nescessary mean the music is AI but it does put it in doubt and it is disappointing none the less. Anyone know how to spot AI hip hop?

Okay. I think I’m done with Pixel Kamikiri. I used more antialiasing than I thought I would and I would deeply appreciated it if someone would tell me if I did it correctly. Spade shapes pointing in different directions are very difficult to draw in tiny squares. #artcritique #pixelart #yokai

Kamikiri WIP #pixelart #yokai I once said something about WIPs to a very not online friend and he warned me that people might think I was referring to women in prison movies. This might be presumptuous of me but I don’t think that’s a common mix-up for most people.

I’m trying an experiment in which I throw a drawing of mine in a 56x56 pixel canvas and see if I can resculpt it into pixel art. I knew Kamikiri’s spikes would be difficult but I’m going to see this through as best I can #pixelart #yokai #folklore

Studying pixel art by copying Pokemon sprites. I also made a Kitaro sprite based on the Gegege no Kitaro Gameboy game that’s supposedly "Pokemon but with yokai” i.e. everything I could possibly want in a game. No fan translation unfortunately, but I might get a rom just to reference the sprites

Experimenting with pixel art using a sketch of an OC named Bitzy (she’s an otter… or a mink) I’ll probably need to start again with a different sketch but either way it’s feels wild recognizing my character in the little squares.
