So, I'm trying to think of another animal that could be symbolic for a library. I know traditionally owls get seen as symbolic for wisdom and intelligence and snakes, I guess (biblical references aside). What about cephalopods tho. A giant squid 🐙 as a library guardian sounds honestly really cool
