The Electoral Commission website says that candidates/parties should be allowed to express their messages outside a polling station as long as they are not obstructive. Parties often have tellers outside with rosettes. I think you can't have anything in sight of an actual polling booth inside.

I have to stress that's a memory from a history lecture a long time ago, but I remembered it was surprising. A bit of googling reveals that the length of marriages is at a historic high, thanks to people living longer and to being more picky about who you marry in the first place.

I remember hearing during my history degree that the average length of marriages hasn't changed much over time. It used to end with the death of one of the parties and now it may end in divorce. Maybe we're just not made to be with one person that long.

I was 10 but I remember the heatwave, and more importantly the drought featuring on the news constantly that summer. So it's not fair to say there was no hysteria about the weather in 1976, it got pretty hysterical.

Are they able to ship from within the EU? I'm in the EU and since Brexit anything coming from the UK gets held up in customs and I get charged about £5 for the privilege even if there's no duty payable. Amazon have EU warehouses, so even if I order from the UK site it will be despatched from the EU.
