So many reasons to throw Palantir out of the NHS and not allow it anywhere near our police force or defence, and now this! Red flags everywhere. Do not ignore the danger. Labour need to stay well clear, just like other European countries that have banned it.

How about taxing the people with private jets, the frequent flyers, the people whose carbon footprint is destroying the planet? That way you could reduce inequality, fund social care, invest in home grown renewables, and restore sanity to the climate to improve food security. Win, win, win, win.

Jet fuel: 12,000 Wh/kg. Modern batteries: ~300 Wh/kg. Even with motor efficiency, jet fuel holds 20x the power per kg. Worse: planes rely on getting lighter as they burn fuel. Electric planes spend energy hauling dead battery weight all the way to landing. It's a physics wall.

Oh yes, and my first Covid infection led to blood clots in my leg, which dislodged, passed through my heart and could well have killed me as they lodged in my lungs. Is risking another #PulmonaryEmbolism an acceptable risk? I have been offered a free Flu vaccination; isn't Covid more dangerous?

A decade ago I would have spent an hour piling on this but now I realize it's a waste of time. Still, amazing how many otherwise intelligent people portray occasional anecdotes of crashes that didn't even happen as a crisis when motorists cause actual death and destruction that's 1000 times greater.

Good news that householders are benefitting from solar and contributing to renewable energy generation. Rooftop solar alone is not going to meet demand. We need a mix of wind & solar farms, battery storage and other renewables to really transition off volatile, ripoff fossil fuels.

Even if we are able to capture all CO₂ emitted at point sources with CCS and scale atmospheric CO₂ removal (CDR) to billions of tonnes per year (we can't and never will), continuing to burn fossil fuels means that millions of people will continue to die from air pollution each year.
