I’ve never been able to have .ics files work on our outlook, so I have to add everything to my calendar manually. Spent about 10 minutes with Copilot, thinking it must be a user error. Eventually told it I quit. Why do I feel like I’m being hit on?

I haven’t seen anyone share this part of the viral AI college article. I absolutely saw college as a few expensive years of meaningless assignments that stood between me and “real life.” Which, with my current worldview, I see as a tragic waste. nymag.com/intelligence...

Wild stuff. www.science.org/content/arti...
On a Nature news article reporting that NIH planned to suspend subawards for foreign collaborations:
"No, that's false. There's going to be a policy on tracking subawards. The NIH and the government should be able to see where the money's going."
"I'm really uncomfortable with this conversation, because you're like, actually spreading rumors that you don't know anything about.... Nature also is spreading rumors. Halt foreign collaborations, that's not true."
"We're working on the policy, Jocelyn. You shouldn't be reporting rumors. I know there's leaks all over here, but the leaks don't actually reflect what's happening. Don't write about rumors. It actually makes the things that you and I care about worse. Like it spreads panic."
Later that day, NIH released a policy that halted future subawards to foreign scientists and said they will need to apply directly for money under a system still in development.

Here’s the letter. The committee was a subsection of the Hospital Authority Board. They made the recommendation to allow Webb’s contract to lapse, and the full board would decide whether to take that recommendation. There’s a board meeting this afternoon.
Dear Hospital Authority Board Members:
I am writing to formally notify you of my decision not to seek renewal of my employment
agreement as Chief Executive Officer of Nashville General Hospital (NGH)). After careful
consideration, I have determined that it is in the best interest of all parties involved to allow the
organization to move forward under new leadership. My departure date will be effective as of
March 14, 2025. I trust that my compensation and any other obligations, as outlined in my
agreement, will be fully honored as we navigate this transition.
Serving this hospital has truly been a pleasure and I extend my highest compliments to the
team of employees who have worked with me, over my 10-year tenure, to extend excellent
healthcare to the Nashville Davidson County community. The mission "to improve the health
and wellness of Nashville by providing equitable access to coordinated patient-centered care,
supporting tomorrow's caregivers, and translating science into clinical practice" has been
executed to its fullest. I am especially proud of the team's execution of transformational
innovative interventions such as:
• The Food Pharmacy
• The No-wait Emergency Department
• Hope Meds
• Congregational Health and Education Network (CHEN)
• Community Care Team
All of which have contributed to extraordinary outcomes such as:
• Achieving a positive Hospital Operating Margin in budget fiscal '23 -'24 for the first time
• Achieving an "A" in Quality Ratings from Leapfrog
• State, national, and international recognition for Innovative initiatives in patient care
The achievements we have m a d e are a t e s t a m e n t to t h e hard work and dedication of t h e entire
team, and I am proud of all of them for their group and individual contributions and sacrifices.
The opportunity to serve this community has been incredibly rewarding. I am grateful for the
support and collaboration of the hospital employees, the community, and the Board.
