"EU must stand firm with China" 🤨 I don't know who writes the @eppgroup.bsky.social headlines, but I don't think this one conveys the intended message.

I am no expert, but I wrote an article - some time ago - where I referred to it as zoonotic. I was angrily upbraided by the editor and wasn’t even given a right of reply. Just dismissed out of hand and told intelligence agencies thought it was a leak.

A very inspiring podcast with Katalin Karikó. Full of wise words; even if you aren’t on track to become a Nobel Prize winning scientist… podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/d...

Asked about the EU/Canada association status at today's (18 September) midday, the Spokesperson that it is a "big, bold, beautiful idea". It's an "ambitious project", it requires a "whole of government approach", there will be a summit in early October.

Still think his French is better and yes, I am aware that VDL's early years were spent in Brussels. And I spent four months in Quebec, so I recognise a soft quebecois accent, but like thanks

Don't you think that we have to put an end to that once and for all? And the European pro-European forces, let's see, two Europeans that we are united for the goals that we share, instead of playing it with the extreme right. " 👏

Don't know the MEP to an EPP MEP: "One of the things that I fully agree with you on is the need to fight extremism, and I think that fight begins in this house. And there are a number of rather extreme groups and colleagues in this house with whom your group, the European People's Party, is working.

I assume that if you get a diagnosis from breast cancer screening, it will probably go through the radiologist/your doctor, and treatment will not be carried out by AI. I have found responses to my own health queries very helpful, not as a replacement, but as an initial point of inquiry.

An awkward segue from democracy to parents not having control of children on screens, "It's a great capture of their attention, their focus and their minds". Parents can take phones away, they can limit time online. No social media under the age of 13. Only mini-accounts to age of 15. #SOTEU
