People like this is why I went backwards on my recovery from being a severe introvert.

Yes, it was a refreshing day for sure. A nice break from the daily grifting and disaster. I thought all bands were really good, I haven't seen many of them. 😀

#dxpedition #hamradio #ft8 Just worked another remote Dxpedition station. Wallis and Futuna Islands, way out in the Pacific in the Samoa area. -08 signal out there, not bad for 20watts! fw.dxpeditions.org

We streamed it most of the day. Jack Black as Ozzy, Drop Kick Murphy's (kicked Trump's ass hard!), Bruce, Geezer, Foo Fighters, Joan Baez....and Jack Smith! Very cool concert for sure. Vote BLUE and kick MAGA! 😀

#80s #newwave #kyyx Kids of the 80s should love this mix. Back when our favorite music wasn't just a background jingle in a commercial now. Maybe I'm old, but this is still so good! open.spotify.com/playlist/0Iw...

#sdr #ariss #hamradio Seems the LMR-400 cable does work well. Never got this good from the old location with RG8x. The fancy cable works well with a lot less loss. Image from the ISS ham radio station 437.55 Mhz during this week's SSTV event.

I'm also signing a document today. I'm changing "President" to "Supreme Asshole". That will go over just was well as "SI". Can't he just do his job rather than renaming everything? Blood clot is our only hope.

#adsb #flightaware #sdr Kind of fun to see all the planes in a line for Seatac. From my basement ADSB station.

Satellite contact! Very cool. I just did it with old fashioned HF skip and a not as old FT8 mode. 😀

There is one method other than waiting for the blood clot, but we can't talk about it.

I don't get it. Will this arch be manned 24/7 like they do in nuke missile solos? I try not to be surprised by anything anymore but it's tough.

Interesting that these spacecraft will someday be the ONLY indication of humanity when the sun dies out. Just like Star Trek "The Inner Light" episode. www.imdb.com/title/tt0708...

Data from an S50 that I processed. 139 exposures at 10 seconds. The scope has Ha and OIII filters so the broadband wavelength will cut through my Bortle 4-5 Olympia skies.

#astrophotography #astronomy #seestar50 Ok, I gave in. I scoffed at these things at first until I tried one. So many good images I've seen posted by others. Many even better than my $2500 setup, which is an ordeal to set up. This will just align and go in a few minutes. 👍

I've been watching a lot of 'raw' news on Youtube. Adam Mockler, Brian Tyler Cohen, David Packman...etc. They are also interviewed often on the network news. We often watch them in the evening for a different view.

Just illustrating how screwed up the skies are now. It's about 3x worse now. There is no location on Earth now you can see a pristine sky anymore, and later this year a company is launching a prototype test mirror to shine light on the ground from orbit.

I can't edit my posting, but 1.2 million in the US, and the 7 million worldwide. Should be a worldwide day of remembrance. A day like that might work to slightly unite humanity?

#sept11 #US250 #covid Trump has ruined the US250 and 9/11 25th anniversary. We need a COVID memorial day. Remember summer of 2020 when it was 9/11, Pearl Harbor deaths _every_ day for months? Can we ever stop waving the flags and remember the 1 Million dead?

#adsb #flightaware #sdr #hamradio I put up my antenna on the roof and got my ADSB receiver up and running again. Providing flight tracking from Olympia area now.

Took a few minutes to change the location to Olympia from Sturgeon Bay, WI. Lots of planes showed up. We'll see a lot military traffic from the local base in Tacoma.

I have one of those free receivers from the FightAware site. The other one on the right is AIS for ships. Just need to get that one up next. Probably see a lot from the south sound area.

There is the impeachment option too. We just need to win the mid-terms, but I fear the election is going to be ugly. Won't stop me from voting, if there are ICE/National Guard at the poll, I'd be tempted to wave at them - with one finger.

If we make it through to 2029, we really need to rewrite, edit, or amend the Constitution. We need age limits, required experience, clean background....etc. for someone to be President. Of course he was voted in, so we need a purge of certain citizens too.

Cat Daddy Tom @catdaddy-tom.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

I'm not comfortable with the US flag these days. I'd put up a LGBTQ, Ukraine, Greenland, Denmark...etc. before a US flag. Sadly I get triggered by it especially "patriots" that have them in the back of a pickup truck. F. MAGA.

Just don't put the flag up. I haven't put mine up for many years now. I'm saving it for the day he's out - impeach, 25th, or rolled out in a bag.
