Is there a name for this trope? Because I crave more instances of it

Trope I always love and want more of:

Character X is a unique, one-of-a-kind genius/inventor/politician/etc. Character Y is always living in their shadow; they might be fine with their lot in life AND/OR have some jealousy at how effortlessly X handles things.

Then Character X dies or otherwise in some significant way, is no longer around. Now Y has to fill in for that impossible legacy.

Bonus points if it's some kind of friend group or family surrounding Character X and everyone struggles to fill the void that person's loss leaves them all with and struggle to grapple with losing the glue that held them all together.
