Alright... So a couple of origins. Bearing in mind Old English was formatively a Germanic language from the invading Saxon, Angle & Jute tribes, and later the Danish & Norwegian 'vikings', the word 'Pine' (not pronounced like the tree) translates as 'To Torture' or 'To Torment'. #wrestling

Rest In Peace to this amazing coach. He coached one of America's greatest college wrestlers Carl Sanderson who in turn not not became an Olympic Gold medalist, but himself become one of the Great American coaches for Penn State. RIP Bobby Douglas.

Reverse Crossface has been around for a long time. Lou Thesz liked to use it with his STF. Carnie wrestler Dick Cardinal used it and even Billy Robinson mentioned he preferred it over the Guillotine (Twister). There's a neck crank with a slight change to the 'nice' version shown in this video.

Before it became known as the Fujiwara Armbar in Japan in the 1980s (after Yoshiaki Fujiwara's notable use as a finisher), it was simply known as an "Arm Lever" in the Lancashire #CatchWrestling and British Pro Wrestling of the 1940s. Also known as a waki-gatame in #Judo.
