This is Buddy. We're not sure how old Buddy was. Elderly, for sure. I got Buddy after a visit to my dear @catbreadgg.bsky.social, who mentioned I should get a pet of my own. Their dog at the time was named Buddy, and was *also* orange and stupid. This is critical information.

"catbread where is the new chapter" well. I'll tell you. It's about half done. but also I got bitten by two other separate bugs and now have four writing projects going on at the same time while I prepare to get married and immigrate. So basically as you can see I'm managing my focus excellently

Okay the tiny frog(s) are now outside. There might be more. I'm going to have to conduct some sort of search operation for hidden frogs tomorrow. It's not that I mind having them here I just think they'll, you know, die. In here. Also I have spiders big enough to hunt them hanging around, so.

AAAAAA (੭˃ᴗ˂)੭ *hollering and flailing and such* THIS IS SO WONDERFUL?? I LOVE IT SO MUCH??? I am definitely going to add a link to this; now I can't get the thought of *this* being Luo Binghe's first sign of him out of my head. Blindsided by his pretty, nice-looking shidi from Qian Cao.

It's the grasping on Shen Qingqiu's part that I think goes unnoticed, the fact that he breaks his own character repeatedly at various times, prodding at YQY. Hey, hey. Hey, tell me. Hey, what about this? And never gets an answer.

000

Whole Grain Cat Loaf @catbreadgg.bsky.social · 27/08/2025

But YQY reaches out, too! Just not when it *matters*. Not when SQQ wants him to. YQY only ever reaches out at the wrong time; SQQ always fails to accept reaching hands until it's too late. The girlies obsessed with tragic Romeo/Juliet shit have no idea what they're missing in SQQ/YQY to be honest

000

Whole Grain Cat Loaf @catbreadgg.bsky.social · 27/08/2025

The whole scene in the Ling Xi caves, where Shen Qingqiu-- despite the persistent front of not wanting to talk and not wanting YQY there-- keeps asking questions even into awkward silence. Over and over. Giving him chance after chance. And Yue Qingyuan STILL never says anything. The agonies!

000

Whole Grain Cat Loaf @catbreadgg.bsky.social · 27/08/2025

I don't think I've seen anyone else observe this before, but maybe one of the worst and most tragic things about the fate of SQQ and YQY in #svsss is the fact that in the extras, we can see SQQ reach out to him, again and again. And YQY fails to reach back every single time until it's too late.
