Aw that’s cute! Reminds me of the Red Sox games I’ve gone to. Hearing random bits of seemingly random songs during the transmissions always makes me laugh. There’s so much going on already, it’s almost overstimulating 😭 but it does make sense that they want to keep the fans there engaged and awake

Fr. I knew going in about the rapists on the Vegas team and the Oilers, if I’m not mistaken, so I made sure to keep my distance from them. Also strongly dislike those nasty sets of brothers who were in team USA, so whatever team they’re all on I’m against. But I’m sure there’s more and it’s scary 🤢

Yeah I didn’t love the commentators on my stream tn. The amount of times they mentioned Mack’s absence was insane. I read the ruling was overturned, so it makes sense they’re all more than willing to bury his past, but finding out—and after i had felt so bad for him when he went down— made me sick.

Felt sick to my stomach when I saw that he was fine & back on the ice and managed to score! Even worse when the commentators praised him and talked about how it’s his first nhl goal, but of course left out the tidbit that he was gone for so long bc he’d been previously SUSPENDED for being a rapist!

• one of the teams I’m rooting for, the sharks, are playing without their big shot cap, and it’s insane how many times the commentators point it out (and how it’s terrible for the team, essentially). It kinda feels like I’m in a fic when a team plays w/o Ilya or Shane • injuries are hard to watch 😕

• Another surprise for me was how many times power plays don’t lead to any goals at all. Which might seem obvious now that I say it “out loud”, but I fear was not 🤪 • sometimes the transmissions do a “follow the puck” thing where they show the name of who has possession and I wish it was constant

Alright, final thoughts 🧏🏻‍♀️ • someone who knows their stuff could probably defend the penguins (I mean they only lost by 2), but as someone who watches just on vibes, it wasn’t the best game.. • sometimes the caps looked really fluid when they were passing between players, it was pretty to watch lol

Best decision, that was so fun! The 3rd period was electric, with 4 goals in as many minutes between both teams! Kept me on the edge of my seat until the very last second! Even as a newbie I could tell this was a goalies game, and WOW, insanely impressive. Stevenson’s 1st nhl game and he’s a beast!

Highlights of my sports!barbie night so far: - the goalies starting are still babies in the league (Murashov is just 22) but they’re killing it - the only goal so far was scored by a player who’s number is 81 (I did in fact scream) and he’s only 19! - first the goal didn’t count but then it did!

Endured actual torture before I quit and had to deal with the President threatening me not to tell the uni a damn thing at my exit interview. It was glaringly obvious the whole thing was a giant “don’t ask don’t tell” system. Greek life instills the very worst of humanity in every single member.
