He Ethiopian conquest of Italy would be pretty funny.

The more interesting question might be how many individual African countries could do it. Both as a quality vs quantity thing and thinking about how quickly a country like say Angola could reorganize to project power so much farther away than it is currently set up for.

What a bizarre way to accuse someone of not having played a game. Wouldn’t Larping be closer to reality than a video game?

Tensing Norgay described summiting as a child climbing into the arms of a mother.

Wicker is pretty brittle. She’d have to be careful not to break that thing off.

Wait, the hitler loving republican is named Putsch?! Isn’t that a little on the nose?

Ice to see some low stakes conspiracies mixed in with the whole global domination thing.

I looked it up. It actually is more or less the right age for Moche but from just a bit inland with the Recuay. Which doesnt lend itself as well to cat puns.

Zero downside with the general population. Probably some internal downside with party membership.

I’m generally in favour of delivering public services directly rather than through contractors, but I have to assume the companies BC currently hires air tankers from are probably cheaper since they are able to do other work in the off-season and spread out the cost of maintenance.

Exactly! Judge religious people by what their beliefs lead them to do. Just like everyone else.

We don’t allow gorillas to roam around cities uncontrolled. If these men are humans who are responsible for their actions, they belong in prison. If they are animals that cannot be responsible, they belong in a zoo. Either way they belong behind bars.

Good point. I’d be curious to see what that number looks like a month from now when the news cycle is about something other than the fact that the election is so early.

111

Castouroboros @castouroboros.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

That tracks for me. Not pleased with the early election and don’t think the Eby government has been doing a very good job, but the conservatives don’t look like they could run a lemonade stand.

Do you know the difference between sci-fi and fantasy? Sci-fi looks like a quarry outside Vancouver, while fantasy looks like a forest outside Vancouver.

120

Castouroboros @castouroboros.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

You take that back. Vancouver can pass as anywhere it wants to. It was strange growing up there to see all these different places in movies look just like home.
