if I don't get back on medicare, I will lose my nightly oxygen. I'm pretty sure that could be *BAD*. But I owe $1400 in back-premiums from when they took me off medicaid. I had no idea getting a job that pays decent would be so expensive. Or dangerous.

one of my favorite vampires, Cassady

drawing of Cassady, the vampire from the comic book Preacher. Cassady is wearing ray-bans, holding a bottle of alcohol in one hand, a cigarette in the other hand. THe background is simmetrical images of men in grey jackets, red ties and black ray-bans. Cassady has a "halo" around his head that is red and spikey

The Creator (Hulu) It was okay. A little too much DRAMA in the music and a little too much leaning on SPFX. I don't get attached to robots so none of the *moments* really touched me and I was unsure about the sims. It's weird to watch a movie I don't get emotional about #Hulu #TheCreator #movies

I'll be happy to make a "100 best shows of the century" (which is just the past 26 years) and post it. My list will be much better. Because then you'll know I'm a really cool savvy person.

Boulder Block (Climber's Gift: online and multiple stores) I really like this thing. Disclaimer: I bought a knock-off that did not come assembled. Once I figured out how to assemble it correctly and how to read the challenges, I had fun with it. It's a LOT harder than you think it is. #purchase

Dear Zachary (Prime) "gut-wrenching" They were being coy. I *hated* the moviemaker at one point. There is a small ray of love and hope at the end but really? The editing turns the story into cruelty. A movie you will *never* want to watch again #Prime #DearZachary #movies #documentary #truecrime

some of you don't get it: RFK is a eugenicist. He says he believes in the miasmatic theory of disease. But what it really boils down to is privilege. The "Good and worthy" people will beat disease. So artificial protection/prevention is "cheating" in his mind. He *wants* children to die

People, I am begging you: Consider making your next vehicular purchase an electric one. Electric car, electric lawn mower, electric blower, whatever. I know it's intimidating to change but it will be worth it, I promise.

Margo Has Money Troubles (AppleTV) quirky little show. Soft comedy with a little character depth thrown in, but the premise is so good I'm willing to sit through 4 episodes of background deve to get to the really fun stuff. Not a waste of time but not really affecting (so far) #MHMT #AppleTV #series

Community (Peacock, Hulu, Disney) Saw this when it was on Prime. I've binged it at least five times. whip-smart dialogue, silly humor, characters that grow on you. It's everything BBT wishes it were. One of the GOAT. Worth buying. #Peacock #Community #Hulu #Disney+ #shows #faves

Coyote vs Acme (theaters) DISCLAIMER: I was not a fan of RR cartoons when I was a kid. Too repetitive for me. That said, CvA was not bad at all. A lot of it fell flat for me, story-wise. But you don't watch RR for depth #CoyotevAcme #movies

Monsters of God (Max) The ending was a bit disappointing but there was a last-minute twist with no resolution. I was really bummed there was nothing about the people who BUY these animals. Buyers are why the problem exists. The photography though... #MonstersOfGod #Max #series #documentary

Furious (Hulu, Disney+) the show builds quickly but securely. The character minutiae is subtle but powerful. If you're a SA survivor, some of it will hit where it hurts. But if not, it's still a pile-drive of an ending. #Furious #Hulu #series

Good Fortune (Prime) Not too bad. Comedic moments. good gravy, Keanu Reeves is a wooden actor. It kinda works. pacing is choppy. Ending is blah, but reasonable. I did like the picture it paints of The Struggle. Not great but I'm not mad at it. #Prime #GoodFortune #movies

Bring Her Back (MAX) kind of disappointing. They never explain what Laura is actually doing, we had to piece it together. It didn't really jive with how we know magick works. Lots of creepy stuff, lots of gorey stuff but overall... meh. #MAX #BringHerBack #movies #horror

Tetris (AppleTv) Totally surprised: this was FUN! Warning: if you don't know anything about The USSR, it may confuse at times. If you are too young to remember the console wars, it may be weird. But in either case, you will learn stuff. (Also, IP legal stuff) #AppleTV #Tetris #movies #truestory

Monsters of God (HBOMax) Another Eric Greene doc but this time it's reptiles. It's not half as crazy as the cat or the monkey shows. But a couple of familiar faces. I like the lower tone but if nothing else, the photography is amazing #Max #MonstersofGod #series #documentary #reptiles

The Drama (Max) Interesting love story. Top-notch cast, impressive direction. What i liked was that in this case, the problem wasn't people not talking to each, it was people trying too hard to talk to each other. #Max #TheDrama #movies

been noticing a generational query: what was life like before the internet? They aren't talking about "how did you watch movies" they are talking about LIFE. And the answer is; it was boring, and that is why people were so *busy*. We did things to fill the boredom. The internet just distracts

I make my own ranch sauce at home because it's so easy and I can use better ingredients: equal parts sour cream, buttermilk and mayo. Herbs: chives, onion powder, lime juice, dill. Some people like a little garlic in there but not much. That's it.

I never thought I'd become a Socialist. I was raised, as GenX, to abhor all forms of socialism/communism. I am a staunch capitalist. BUT I'm also a firm liberal/leftist who knows that regulation is important. So I joined the DSA: I want politicians who are progressive, young and ready to fight

Obsession (Peacock) 2 true scream-scares, 3 jump-out-of-my-seats, 1 two-minute turn-aways from violence/gore. It certainly has the credentials of a successful horror movie. More importantly, 3 genuine shudders of dread. But there's a sadness permeating it too. me likey #ObsessionMovie2026 #movies

#LindseyGraham being #dead affects each person differently. He was a senator for a LONG time which means he probably did build a few decent friendships or grudging respect-pals along the way. So if colleagues want to say nice things, let them. Meanwhile, I didn't work with the guy. So fuck him
