It’s like that thing where they let the penguins out to see other exhibits but it’s dinosaurs at the museum. Super thrilled with how these new A4 riso prints turned out!! Grab them at my shop or at MoCCA this weekend!
Photo of a risograph printed illustration of a dinosaur skeleton. The dinosaur is surrounded by lots of storage boxes containing more dino bones and other scientific research. The room the skeleton is in looks like a cluttered back room of a natural history museum. The print is printed in federal blue, sunflower, bright red and teal inks.Close up of the riso print from slide one. The riso texture is more visible.Another close up of the riso print from slide one.

It’s gonna be a long 4 years.
Illustration of a white boy staring grumpily at a computer. An orange hand is shooting the middle finger from the computer screen right into the face of the boy. Orange speech balloons come from the computer saying “Nazis but they’re tech bros?? Anti-trans bills, general fascist bullshit, we hate you and all your friends, also pay us money”

A small #comic about eczema and computers.
An illustration of hands covered in a rough skin rash. The skin and rash are coloured in unnatural green hues. The text reads: I have a condition that makes my hands pucker and scar. It hurts. Sometimes it bleeds. It’s just a rather annoying form of eczema. The same hands covered in the rash reach for a computer keyboard. Text reads: recently, it’s spread to my fingertips. Which means that my computer’s fingerpad lock no longer recognises me. Below this panel there is a drawing of a man shouting at a computer. The computer says “your fingies…they seem suspicious” the man shouts “let me in! I have work to do!”An illustration of a computer Lock Screen. The text reads: luckily I know my own damn password so the foolish machine is forced to let me in regardless. Below the man looks at his computer. The computer cheerfully says “oh! It’s you! Why didn’t you say so earlier?” The man has a thought bubble saying “one day I’ll replace you with one of those laptops that unlock with face recognition…”

This riso print is a still a bit of a work in progress (the colors didn’t work out quite as I’d intended) but please enjoy nonetheless!
A risograph illustration of a large workshop filled with neon signs. New signs are being crafted by some kids in bright red jumpsuits. The whole scene is printed in bright neon red, black and teal inks.Closeup of the previous image. One kid is working on a sign at a workbench while another is on the floor. In the foreground there is a bright neon sign saying “Live music” with an arrowAnother closeup. Two kids in red jumpsuits are carrying a neon sign advertising a golf club.

Carefully engineered powerlessness in the face of atrocity.
I put another payment on my nearly maxed-out credit card.False money, false hope.I know we cannot crowdfund our way out of a genocide. There is no amount of money that I can give which will stop the bombs. But what else can I do when people are dying?

Here is a little comic for the folks who often find themselves feeling alone. This piece will eventually be a riso zine with a poster on the back but probably not till later in the year!
An orange and blue illustration of star with a heart at the center glowing brightly in space. The title says A Litany for the Lonely.

The illustration zooms in on the star. At the center is a glowing person curled up. The text below says: I will not fear my own company.

The glowing star person is greeted by various spaceships and satellites. The text reads: I will cherish those around me while they are here.

Close up on the star person as they pu a hand to their chest. The text reads: and when they are not, I will cherish myself.Back on earth, a man holds a star chart which includes the star person. On a cork board in the background there is a note that says “new star?”. The text reads: My loneliness does not define me.

The man holding the chart is in his office looking out the window at the star. His room is fun of star posters, planet diagrams and telescopes. The text reads: I am not broken or without love.

The man focuses his telescope on the star person. Text reads: I peacefully await the next bright moment of connection…

Closeup on the telescope viewfinder where we can see the star person smiling at the man. Text reads: …with hands and heart outstretched.

New short comic! Backpack Or My Desperate Desire to Throw Everything Away. [1/2]
Text: Backpack or My Desperate Desire to Throw Everything Away. Illustration of a green backpack.Text: Every few months, I get in a strange sort of mood where I want to throw out everything I own and move somewhere new with just a backpack. Illustration: a boy with a green backpack does a thumbs up as if he is about to hitchhike.Text: I’ve been doing this since I was little. I would fill the drawers under my bed with crap until I couldn’t stand it anymore…(note: the word myself is crossed out)…and then I’d get a huge garbage bag and throw it all away. This is way before Mari Kondo. Illustration: a young girl puts her toys into the drawers under her bed. At the bottom of the page, another draw is absolutely stuffed with objects.Text: I never quite remembered the things I threw out…just the smell of the plastic garbage bags…and a sense of relief. I lost a few things I really loved that way. Illustration: hands throw garbage while a boy sits sadly outside of the frame looking at an object.

Already posted this on insta but here’s a recent illustration I really liked! It’s going to be available as a riso print later this spring!
Detailed illustration of three kids in a large storeroom full of dinosaur bones. There are many boxes stored on shelves and in the rafters. On the floor of the storeroom there a half-finished dinosaur skeleton that the kids are reassembling. The room is bathed in yellow light while the boxes in the ceiling are blue toned.

I promise my real desk is neater than this.
Illustration of a white man wearing a white shirt and brown pants sitting haphazardly in an office chair. His desk, floor and walls are covered in comic pages. Some light is coming in from a small gap in a window on the left. The whole room is tinted slightly green and brown.
